Royal Inn Kokubu

I stayed here for two nights, one before and one after climbing Kirishima. The reason for staying here is that if you want to climb Kirishima by bus, you have to take the first bus to Kirishima Onsen from Kokubu Station. The fact that breakfast starts at 6:30 and can be used before boarding the bus was also a big plus. The hotel itself is behind the station, opposite the ticket gate, but it is very convenient as there is a supermarket right in front of the hotel, which makes it easy to buy things from the hotel. There is also an elevator on the overpass, so it is not a hassle to get around. Since I was staying here for multiple nights, I was able to wash and dry my clothes after climbing for free at the coin laundry, which was very convenient. (Only detergent is sold separately) I also rented a bicycle next to the front desk and went to the nearby Hitodama Onsen to soak in the hot spring. This hotel is three stories tall, but the rooms are on the first floor, which is very unusual for a business hotel. Another unusual thing is that the TVs in the rooms were smart TVs.
