We had a 5-night stay; 3 nights with the Inntravel walking tour and then we extended the stay for some extra R&R. What a result! This place is an oasis of calm and charm. From arrival to departure the staff are attentive and efficient. Our accommodation was a ground floor en-suite with a small kitchenette. The spacious balcony faced the decent sized swimming pool. The rooms have a wonderful view, overlooking the hotel grounds and the countryside beyond. The bedrooms were a good size, clean and towels were provided. The en-suite might be a tad dated but the shower worked just fine. (Corfu water is very hard) The pool area was simply lovely. Stacks of room and whilst there are plenty of sunbeds, sadly, they are rather uncomfortably to lay down on for very long! (The metal frames push into your back.) It is a very clean pool. Evening meals must be booked in advance, it’s relatively simple but very good. Breakfast is continental style, with the additional choice of fried eggs. There is plenty of coffee and orange juice, in addition to the yoghurt and fresh fruit. Of note is their breakfast time; which is 8.30 a.m. For walkers like ourselves was a tad late to start the day-that said it did not spoil a wonderful experience. Corfu Pearl is off the beaten track but it’s a perfect destination for those looking for unnecessary luxury. Its selling point is its charm. Family run it offers a space of unapologetic Corfu authenticity. Athina, the owners daughter, is an absolute star. Nothing is too much trouble for her. We would thoroughly recommend this 'Pearl' for those seeking genuine Corfu hospitality.
