Where to even start with this. This holiday was completely missold, by no means is this a 5 star hotel. I believe the positive reviews are mainly from groups of people they have walking round the hotel visiting, taking pictures etc (there was a group of about 30 people doing this whilst we were there) and anybody that isn’t English. It was abundantly clear throughout the stay that they do not like English guests and other people we met said the same thing. We went to get food at the only place we could actually get something half decent which is where they do the wraps and pizzas etc and was turned away as it was 11:57 and was abruptly told it didn’t open until 12 (although I’m listed as open form 11) 1 minute later 3 Russian guests went and ordered they took the order and gave them the food immediately. This is just one of MANY examples. Firstly when we arrived we were immediately told that the several a La carte restaurants that are advertised were all fully booked so we wouldn’t be able to go in them. The food overall is absolutely terrible no where near what you would expect for 5 star, breakfast was just 15 different types of eggs which are either grey or undercooked. The buffet lunch and teas you have pretty much the same thing offered every single night and DIRTY, the texture of the chicken was like reheating an old takeaway and it Doesn’t matter if you ate a extremely oily chip or whatever meat dish they had out everything tasted exactly the same. We literally could not eat the food it was cold, flies everywhere and absolutely just horrendous. The tables were always half set you’d end up having to go and look for your own cutlery - not what you’d expect from a 5 star resort. After a few days we physically couldn’t take it anymore as we were starving and began feeling unwell so we tried to resolve the matter with reception and they managed to book us into the “fully booked” a La carte club phaselis. Club phasellis - we were greeted by a member of staff shouting at us and shooing us away because there was 5 minutes until our reservation (no offer of a drink at the bar to wait) after the rude welcoming and a look at the menu with 3 things on it it was absolutely not worth spending 50 euros on so we left, as being in a 5 star hotel and still spending MORE money on a meal you’d expect top service and food this was absolutely not the case. We explained to reception why we left and they apologised and book us in to the steak restaurant instead for a different night. The steak restaurant (60 euros)- my good god undoubtedly the worst meal I’ve ever had in my life. First of all when we arrived there were appetisers waiting for us on our table, picture mini bruschetta one topped with raw meat, one with raw fish, one avocado and one with tomatoes and then imagine them sitting there in the sun, uncovered. We stayed at the Matri Myra Hotel in August of this year with my mother and daughter. I would like to share our review of the hotel. We were pleased that they accommodated our request for a room closer to the facilities upon check-in, as my mother is elderly and finds it difficult to walk long distances. The Matri Myra Hotel is truly a green oasis, resembling a beautiful garden, which created a pleasant atmosphere. As for the food, it was quite ordinary, without any extravagance, but it was satisfactory, and we could always find a variety of dishes to satisfy our hunger. The sea, as usual in Tekirova, was fantastic, incredibly clean, adding to the positive aspects of our vacation. However, there were some drawbacks that we noticed. Not all the staff in the hotel were equally polite and hospitable. We even had to complain at the reception because some employees refused to exchange our beach towels back for the cards at the end of the day, which was an unpleasant incident that slightly marred our overall experience. I also appreciated the fact that the guests came from various countries, including several European ones. The hotel falls into the mid-range category in terms of cost, but it is just expensive enough to deter guests with less-than-acceptable behavior, ensuring a more pleasant and peaceful atmosphere. The hotel's entertainment and shows were standard, without any standout features. Nevertheless, we would like to express our special thanks to Olga, who conducted individual aerial yoga sessions with our daughter. It was truly interesting and beneficial. Also, a special mention goes to Ravil, the chef in the restaurant, who prepared excellent pasta dishes. All in all, our stay at the Matri Myra Hotel left us with a positive impression, despite some minor flaws. We enjoyed the beautiful sea, the lush surroundings of the hotel, and the good food. We want to particularly thank the individual staff members who made our stay more enjoyable and memorable.

The Hotel is in beautiful grounds with lots of greenery, bushes and huge pine trees. We had a deluxe room at the furthest (quiet) part of the grounds and found it very peaceful. Pools are lovely, always plenty of sunbeds and umbrellas. The inside was always cool and very comfortable with loads of different areas you can escape the heat. We were there when the temperatures were hitting 40C which even the locals say is hotter than is normal for this time of year. We welcomed all the air/con everywhere. Previous comments have mentioned that the food is not geared much to English guests and I have to agree with this. Very Eastern European tastes catered for with some odd things on the Menu. Chips, broccoli and turkish delight for breakfast?! I managed with an egg, some bread and yoghurt. Staff were varied with some going out of their way to be friendly, but others quite sullen we found. Again, English speakers are very much in the minority with bar staff not able to understand easy words like "ice", "wine", "coke".....which we found a bit frustrating. Room was always immaculate and cleaners unobtrusive. The beach is literally one minute from the pool so a nice change. I would have liked a little less booming music which tended to go on all day. Maybe a quiet area or slightly less manic music as there were plenty of guests our age (ie early retirees). Clientele in the main were mostly friendly, despite lack of common language. Predominately E. European and Russian we think with a few German and Dutch who are always pleasant. Had a lovely 5 night stay, but would not have wanted to stay any longer to be frank - no fault of the Hotel, but I think all inclusive probably not for us.

Holiday time spent in this place was just amazing! Beautiful view at the beach, tasty food and comfortable rooms. A lot of possibilities to spent time in activ and full of good humour wat, together with very creativ and friendly staff. Definately worth to visit!

Complaining: room floor absolutely filthy half a toilet roll the a child bed for a 6’1 adult 2 cups for three people , no Room to move around in the room had to go sideways to get past anything there’s no more inches to 2 foot the space between any of the furniture once we had three beds. We went down to reception told him that the TUI rep has not been in their place and the 4 guests say he hasn’t been out all week so he phoned him supposed to be at nine come 11:15 so we had to hang around another day when we told him he said our room been upgraded to supreme deluxe if this is a supreme deluxe so YOU need to re-look at this hotel according to the film they show the rooms here the rooms are nothing like it . breakfast no toaster no one making toast excepting for 1 George Foreman type thing and there was only one for all the guests which took six minutes to colour a bit of bread I’ve been in Turkey loads of times everywhere do sliced beef turkey chicken cough for you doesn’t exist here It’s just a basic mix of food the same every single day salad dish up in the morning still there for the evening limp and dead there has been several guests complaining about the cleanliness of the rooms. and how bad the food is.

This resort is lovely but……if you are from the UK you will be sorely disappointed. The food is lukewarm at best and definitely caters to non-uk people. Please don’t waste €30 per person in the steak house as the steak is a minute steak and not sirloin or ribeye. We are not picky foodies. Entertainment again not catered at all for uk people. Patisserie was superb

First of all, don't ask questions about the hotel. Everything was so good that this is a hotel we could have stayed longer at if we had the time. The food is very tasty and wonderful, there is everything you want. sushi, fish and chicken, all products from the best brands. Everything they use is the best. I realized that I was so happy when I saw the Çiğköfte stand that I couldn’t explain it. Another 4-4. There was a friend in the animation, his name was Fehmi, he was so friendly and so cheerful that our eyes looked everywhere for him. The view is so beautiful, flowers and forests everywhere. There is a mini zoo inside. So from now on we will always be there on all holidays.
