Wow, this very special hotel is a precious piece of history lovingly restored by Hyatt. The exterior, lobby, and entertainment spaces all retain exquisite original architectural details in the Gothic Tudor style. Ornate wood carving, stonework, stained glass windows, and original chandeliers from the 1920’s have been restored with sensitive modern touches. The rooms are plush with modern conveniences and artful touches, like the illuminated portrait of Bertha Goodwin in the foyer of every room. The Town Company restaurant has a Michelin recognized chef, whose wife creates amazing pastries like an apricot jam sticky bun with cashew ginger brittle. Enthusiastically recommended

For the price. Not worth it! Very clean and quant. The hotel itself is beautiful and the rooms are unique and clean, however, the staff wasn’t very friendly and a lot of the amenities such as the ice machine didn’t work. Parking is terrible unless you valet which is an extra cost. Everything in this hotel is an extra cost!!

Really interesting decor. That is a mix of old world and crisp artsy modern. Great service everywhere and price was very reasonable. However, if you want food, coffee, snacks, or vallet - be ready to pay a premium.

I have now stayed here twice with my husband and 2 dogs. The staff are extremely helpful. The rooms are always comfortable. We love that there are no hidden pet fees for our stay. This has been a great discovery because so many hotels have lots of restrictions and hidden fees. An added bonus is a green space a block away to also walk the dogs.

We enjoyed our 2 night stay at Hotel Kansas City. From the moment we arrived the staff were friendly and accommodating. The Hotel itself was beautiful and easy to get to. We opted for Valet parking and it was a breeze. Check in/out was easy and quick. The restaurant in the hotel was delicious and the bar had a very cool vibe and the drinks were amazing.
