Hotels near Nasal Chowk, Kathmandu

The room was very clean. I stayed at a hotel called Atlantic Hotel the day before. It was uninhabitable because it was too dirty and the sheets were smelly. Later, I came to our Jiangsu Hotel, which was very good and clean. The restaurant on the first floor was also very good. And they gave me a free airport drop-off when I went to the airport, which was very convenient.

The location is perfect , room service can remain open until a little bit more late rather than 9pm , after that time is not possible to get food around the hotel . The staff are very gentle and servicial , the place it’s very nice and cozy

Pros Great location for exploring Themal and provided you are not too high up, you shouldn't hear any road noise as it's set back. I was on the 4th floor and could hear the incessant beeping motorbikes but had moved from the first floor where i heard none (but was directly above the kitchen so could hear banging and chairs scraping from around 6am). 2nd floor is probably a good choice Staff were all excellent Room cleaned daily with 2 large bottles of water provided each day Breakfast was ok - decent variety of fruit, local and western with custom eggs. Coffee was instant though. Get your currency before you arrive or take enough to convert there, the atm machines are expensive Taxi from airport to Themal should be around 350 rupees working on 50 rupees per km plys 30 rupees start charge. You will be hounded relentlessly by people from the second you leave the plane for tour services etc. It may seem impolite but dont make eye contact, say no thank you and keep walking, otherwise you will spend your entire trip speaking to them. Right now its cold at night, pack accordingly. Be prepared to pay for everything, every temple, every place of historical interest - foreigners are charged around 1000-2000 rupees each time. E.g. all the Durbar squares, main stupas and temples. Don't assume that because Nepal is a developing country it is cheap. It isn't. In fact i found it comparable to some developed countries and not cheaper than say Thailand. A meal would cost me around 1000 rupees. In a smaller more local place you may pay 500. Don't take your new trainers, it's a very dirty, dusty city but exactly what you would expect if you've ever seen it on TV - it's all part of the experience. For exploring all of the main parts of Kathmandu, id say 5 days is a good amount of time. I recommend the everest helicopter tour but on that note i will say that tours are very expensive here, more expensive than even Hong Kong, Thailand, etc!! I ended up walking to the main temples, Chandragiri, Bakhtapur for the more local experience.

The room facilities and hygiene are very good, and the service staff is also very friendly. The hotel is only half completed, so the lobby is still relatively small and not very impressive. It is highly recommended for business trips. The breakfast is Western style and quite rich, which is not friendly to those who want to eat Chinese food.

The location is on the edge of the pedestrian street in Thamel District, close to the pedestrian street, and very quiet. However, the entrance is a bit shabby. There are many European and American guests staying. The breakfast is a combination of Indian and Western styles. There is an outdoor dining area where you can smoke. The front desk is a bit small and not atmospheric. The hotel is listed as a four-star hotel. The hotel's service staff have very good attitudes and have no problem communicating in English at the front desk.

The sanitation and environment are very good, but the service is a bit lagging. There are no hangers, no place to hang clothes, and no laundry service.

It was considered a relatively high-end hotel in the Tamil area. On the first day, Ai Bian swindled a hotel in a corner, and the next day, she decided to ring. Hotel is not big, but the environment is good, quiet in the middle of noisy, breakfast is very good

The hotel facilities and sanitation are very good. The service is very enthusiastic. The hotel also gave away free breakfast. The hotel's breakfast buffet has many varieties and tastes very good. Love it 😍

Excellent choice. We had a great 3 night stay which became very convenient due to interconnecting rooms. Service was fast, walkable to Thamel, great food at Japanese K2SH and Kava restaurants. No complains except the actual room size is very small. Thanks to staff.

The room is large and the service is good. The room faces the courtyard and is relatively quiet. The family room we booked has a large balcony, which is just perfect for drying wet clothes in Chitwan~ The only drawback is that there is no elevator, but it's not a big deal. La
