The William Apartments Jesmond

No communication of check in problems, with delayed check in, apartment not cleaned when given access to it. Customer service person was rude and after multiple calls provided another apartment which was somewhat cleaned.

The room did not seem to have been cleaned before my arrival. Soggy food found in laundry sink. Tampon wrappers found in the toilet. Mattress had stains on it. Bathroom floor completely covered in water. Dirty floor towel for bathroom.

Had to wait 2 hours until 4pm to get into my room. The cleaners arrived at 2pm and even though I had requested to get into my room there was no communication between the property and the cleaners and they did my room last. Customer service was terrible. Note that noone is at the property.

When I booked the room a month prior, I specifically requested two single beds rather than a king bed. When I rang them a few days prior, I re-confirmed the single beds rather than a king bed. We walked straight into a king bed. It was bloody lucky there was extra bedding in the room that we used to just make up the singles ourselves, revealing an absolutely disgusting floor in the process. The sheets were unclean, the bed uncomfortable, the floor oily and covered in dust. But the worst thing was by far the exit sign. Why, for the love of all that is holy, would you place a brightly-lit exit sign *inside* the room?! It was impossible to get the room dark, and without an eyemask I'd have never gotten any sleep at all. I'd recommend just about anywhere before I'd recommend here.

Very Poor communication from management! Poor time management with check in. Bedding was horrible with stains and burn holes in blankets. Air conditioner/ heater struggled to heat the apartment, it appears to need a good clean at minimum. Will not be staying here again and will be letting others know not to stay here.

Check in delayed-but don’t know why?????

Arrived at scheduled time only to open the door and be greeted with foul oil smell they had ac on to vent smell. Sofa lounge bed sheet covered with stains, oil under kitchen cupboards cause of smell. Floors filthy under sofa bed. Spoke to agency o. Day of arrival they advise and email address to provide fees back too they verbally advised we would receive refund for the weekend, email sent but no response from agency about refund. We did not spend a single night at the apartment sources other accomodation.

Do not stay here! Booked 2 rooms selected pay at the venue. I was charged credit card for one and on arrival informed the rooms were cancelled? One room available but needed to be made up (this was 4pm) Made own beds 4 people in a one bedroom apartment The smoke smell was unbearable The room was filthy The man on the phone was rude Didn’t sleep wasn’t game to shower or use kettle went to leave early and a car blocked us in again the man on the phone was rude and we were left knocking on doors to locate the owner (scary knocking on doors in that complex) I was informed that housing commission booked the room for a week prior to us and they smoked etc in the room An experience I do not want others to experience
