Hotel: We booked through Schauinsland. The transfer to the hotel took around 1.5 hours there and back in an air-conditioned bus. The entire complex is clean and well-maintained. There is a main pool with a baby pool, unfortunately this and the associated loungers and parasols are in the hands of families with children. It is rather loud there and there is music from the bar. Since we were looking for relaxation and peace, we lay in the front area of the terrace directly above the shops where the 2 whirlpools are. Unfortunately, after a few days the families with children also found the whirlpools and then the peace and quiet was over. For holidaymakers looking for peace and relaxation, this is unfortunately no longer the right hotel. Otherwise a very clean, beautiful hotel with well-equipped rooms in a central location with a short walk to the beach and with friendly and always helpful staff. The food ranges from very good to mediocre, but you can always find something thanks to the large selection. Location & surroundings: Due to the central location, various shops, bars and restaurants are in the immediate vicinity. The beach is easy to reach on foot. Room: We had room 420 (double room with sea view). It was on the 4th floor of the main building above the restaurant. The view was great over the complex with pool to the beach and sea. The room and bathroom were always clean. On Sundays, towels and bed linen are not cleaned or changed. The space is rather generous for 2 people. There was a floor-level shower with rain shower and showerhead, a large mirror with basin, fittings and enough storage space, and of course a toilet. The bathroom could be separated from the room by a frosted glass door. The room had air conditioning, I suspect remotely controlled, as changing the control panel did not result in any change. The temperature in the room was pleasant, however. In the sleeping area there were 2 beds that were rather hard (not suitable for our backs). A closet with sliding doors that also contained the safe. A 2-seater coach with a table. There was also a chair with a desk shelf. A very large 43-inch LG LCD TV with German channels ARD, ZDF, RTL, Sat 1, cable, VOX, Pro Sieben, DMAX etc. in good picture and sound quality. In the hallway there was a shelf with a kettle, 1 x 1.5l water and 2 glasses and underneath a fridge with 2 x 0.5l water. On the balcony there were 2 chairs, a table and the option to hang something up to dry. Now for the not so good things. In the closet there were only 2 small drawers and a small storage compar**ent, apart from the rail for hanging clothes and the safe. The large storage compar**ent was occupied, I suspect by the winter blankets. More storage options for clothes would be desirable. There is only one socket in the bathroom, in the hallway at the table and by the chair with a shelf. If you want power on the bedside table you need an extension. The balcony light cannot be controlled by yourself, it depends on the time.
