Thinnai hotel in Jaffna is a wonderful place to stay! The hotel has a cozy atmosphere and the staff are very friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean and comfortable, with all the necessary amenities. The restaurant serves delicious food, especially the traditional Jaffna cuisine. The location is convenient, close to many attractions in Jaffna. Overall, I had a great experience at Thinnai hotel and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Jaffna!

A hotel located quite centrally in Jaffna. We had an apartment/suite room on two floors with two bedrooms. The rooms were modern, clean and well equipped. the hotel has a pool and a restaurant with a la carte service for lunch and dinner (the food we ate there was very good). The hotel has a nice bar. A highlight of our stay there was a crab curry cooking demonstration for my wife and I by one of the hotel’s chefs.

It was an Excellent stay for 2 days! The food, average service, cleanliness, everything was Satisfying! Only the size of the swimming pool was a bit less specially the space around the swimming pool and there were only a few sun bed's. But we enjoyed our stay definitely!

We stayed 4 nights in The Thinnai hotel. Our 2 bedroom suite was very spacious and comfortable, with 2 large bedrooms, 2 full bathrooms, living room with pull out couch and a kitchen with a full size refrigerator, microwave and a stove. The manager and other staff at the front desk were amazing. All the staff were very courteous and ready to please us. They cleaned our rooms everyday. We liked the eco friendliness of using glass bottles for drinking water. We loved using the pool in the evenings, very clean and welcoming. The food in the restaurant was delicious and the chef Gideon made custom Sri Lankan food that we were craving. There were Western and Sri Lankan dishes. We were so happy with Thinnai that we have already blocked rooms for our family reunion this Christmas for 35+ family members.

We were of group of 21 family members travelling thru Sri Lanka . The hotel was small but tastefully done. The staff were very friendly . The GM of the hotel was new and worked well with our group to make sure we were looked after well. The food was part of our meal plan and the variety was good . Thanks Mathew

The Thinnai hotel in Jaffna in the north of Sri Lanka is a very nice hotel. Friendly staff, spacious rooms with great beds, and excellent food. I would come back for the food alone. Both the Sri Lankan and western food was magnificent. Fantastic cook!

I stayed at The Thinnai Jaffna on a short business visit . I was suprised by the level of quality of the property . Rooms (rather suites) were very spacios with seperate living and bedroom . Living room had full size fridge and sofa with TV . Bedroom also had TV and comfortable bed . Elegantly furnished suites . Beautiful reception area and Ms Abi at the reception was very helpful ,and checkout was a breeze . She speaks very fluent english . Restaurant was on the 3rd floor with great views . I would stay again for sure . Call Abi if you need railway station pick up arranaged . Colombo to Jaffna is only a 6hr Luxury train ride away now , so if you have a long weekend hop on the train and visit Jaffna ..be sure to stay at the Thinnai 👌

Excellent spacious family suits. Delicious food with variety. Jaffna and Indian food available. We were there for three days and Buffet was available on most of the days. Friendly staff, helpful. They are good in all three languages. Which is helpful. Clean and room service is better than most. Easy access to popular places.
