It should be a better five-star hotel in Marbella, but the experience was average and I would not stay there again. The pictures of the Ctrip suite are not consistent with the reality. The reality is that it is an ordinary hotel room with an extra sofa, and the room has a musty smell. Ctrip stated that it would open in 2020. I thought it was a new hotel, but the actual decoration is relatively old. I don’t understand why it was a hotel that opened in 2020. The front desk service does not meet the five-star standard. I completed the formalities in the morning and came to pick up the room card in the afternoon. There was only one person at the front desk, which was very slow and I had to wait for a long time. The advantage of the hotel is that there are many restaurants. It feels good to eat at night. The location is by the sea and it is very comfortable to walk.

It’s a real Destination Hotel! Highend Luxury, with 6 fantastic pools and a very beautiful white Sand Beach. It’s all Generatios, you have Family with Kids and/or Grandparents (the Kids Club is a Legend), romantic Lovers and Party People. The best thing: ist also a Food Heaven, Cipriani, Nobu, Gaia, the coolest Restaurants and you Concierge books the table!

We have just retuned after a fabulous week at PR … we went last year, loved it so much we had to go back. All the staff were so helpful friendly, accommodating and professional. Nothing was too much trouble. The experience team booked all of our restaurants and private transfers .. we invited our friends to come and stay for 2 nights and they drove from Portugal (Our friend had unfortunately broken his ankle playing tennis ) and the PR team went out of their way to ferry him around in a buggy to and from restaurants and gave them a wonderful ground floor suite. The amenities at PR are fantastic .. lovely selection of pools to sit around with sunbed service on tap .. the gardens are absolute beautiful and the spa gorgeous and relaxing. Such a lovely and varied selection of restaurants to choose from each night in fact you don’t have to leave the resort at all. The square oozes a wonderful ambiance for pre and post dinner drinks We will definitely return next year Thank you xxx

We went there for our honeymoon 40 years ago! Still very beautiful. Sea Grill for breakfast very beautiful and many gorgeous restaurants within hotel. Very expensive, but a definite experience. The only thing lacking was somewhere to get just a coffee, but I suppose their real estate is too valuable for a 'coffee chop' One could get a coffee on the beach, but staff preferred the guests who were lunching. Pool by the sea got crowded as the hotel filled up, try and avoid school hols and weekends! We did have a fabulous trip though.

It is not ALL about the BRAND Mr Shamoon… Because I was a guest of honour at a dinner party on Friday 3rd May, at Coya… I could not complain from the table as I did not wish to embarrass my host. However my host does not miss much and he would have noticed. I have been visiting restaurants regularly at Puente Romano since the early 1980s and I have watched it evolve from a very tired Property with a bar by the Roman Plaza that was so bad it was a joke amongst regulars. From this state the property was purchased at a knockdown price by a highly talented hotel entrepreneur who brought in the most amazing management and they turned it around, creating one of the best hotels in Marbella with quite an array of excellent restaurants. The hotel encompasses a substantial number of different restaurants and I mentioned some of them below within the context of this review as they are all under the same hotel umbrella. I always had a soft spot for Robertos which is now called Sea Grill, for which I have posted wonderful past reviews apart from after my last visit when I considered it perfectly fair to criticise. I do try to be lavish with my praise and very careful with my criticism but it had gone downhill and numerous regulars who live locally have exactly the same opinion. Obviously I have heard of Coya. As with Nobu and Cipriani, this is a brand which is spreading. It has taken over the space at Peunte Romano where Serafina used to be prior to their lease not being renewed (to make way for yet another ‘brand’ of which there are plenty…). Whatever happened to quality? While filling the property with brands might up the profits, the quality, reputation and word-of-mouth is diminishing. This was a terrific property which did not need fixing under the previous general manager. Is this progress? Serafina amassed 462 reviews on Tripadvisor alone of which 309 were ‘excellent’ and ‘110’ very good. While not a brand, Serafina was good honest food served well, with the two owners who are brothers as superb hosts…and a visit was always enjoyable. Sarafina had 4.5 stars on Tripadvisor. Coya only has 3.5 stars and of their 81 reviews on Tripadvisor at time of my visit their second highest category of reviews is “Terrible” and 40% of their Tripadvisor reviews to date are either “Average” “Poor” or “Terrible.” My advice is that you read the reviews before you think about reserving a table. A few friends have already dined here and were unimpressed. I would have avoided visiting altogether but I was invited, as a guest. I found the service totally unacceptable. Will I ever be going back? Not unless I am again invited by friends as a guest. But next time I go even if I am a guest and they remove my €140 steak dish, they will not get away with it again. When I was only halfway through my plate, while my attention was focused on a conversation to my right, the waiter removed my main course...and threw it away. This was in fact the main course which the waite

As a part of our college graduation trip, my friends and I had the privilege of staying at the Puente Romano in Marbella. The service was truly unbelievable, and Daniella Davis in particular took care of my group very well. The beach access, state of the art gym, restaurants, and hotel rooms all positively contributed to our unforgettable trip. Definitely make sure to take advantage of the breakfast buffet overlooking the ocean. Again, thanks to Daniella for making our stay one to remember, and we hope to return soon.
