Waverley Inn Apartments

Was shocked to read some reviews. We stayed in 2 bedroom appartment last minute after ferry at Ullapool was cancelled due to weather. 2 good sized bed rooms, 1 on suite, additional bathroom. Decent sized living/ open plan kitchen with all fixtures and kitchen equipment supplied. Great stay and very clean.

Prior to our trip, I reached out repeatedly to address some questions we had. Not once did this place respond. When we got there, we were redirected to another location around the block to pick up the keys. When we got into the apartment, there was a stench of sewage/mold. We open the door to one of the bathrooms and the smell of death (there really is no other way to describe it) came rushing out. The shower was coated in mold. The mirror had mold on it and something funny was happening to the mirror itself. We had to close the door and never go into that bathroom again. Luckily, there was a second bathroom. It, too, smelled of mold, but was somewhat tolerable. The sinks are tiny and far too small for the waterfall faucet that shot water on me and the floor upon first use. There were people smoking in the entranceway, you couldn’t open the freezer compartment because the main door wouldn’t open complete as it was blocked. By design, the freezer can’t be opened without destroying it. Back to the mold. We called the management to report this and other issues, but nobody ever answered the phone. The next day, two of the three in our group started feeling unwell and eventually ended up getting sinus infections. Based on our experience, we will never go back to this place nor will we recommend it others. Of the six places we stayed at during our trip, this was hands down the worst. It’s like all of the others were on earth and the Waverley Inn Apartments were beyond Pluto.

Firstly the room was certainly not the room I booked, it was barely bigger than a box room with a tiny shower, toilet and sink squeezed in. When you flushed the toilet water gurgled up the sink and smelled horrible. When trying to get into bed you had to take care not to hit your head on the TV attached to the wall. The floor was not clean, grit stuck to your feet which you then took into the bed. The WiFi never worked, when I phoned the number several times we were given for help it rang once then went dead,and to top it off there was water pouring in through the roof outside our door. Would not advise anyone to book from Waverley Inn holiday apartments Inverness.

I cannot express how utterly disappointed and disgusted I am with the townhome accommodation my family and I had the misfortune of staying in during our recent vacation. This place is an absolute nightmare, and I feel compelled to share our horrific experience. First and foremost, the safety of our children, including a baby, was at stake throughout our stay due to the abhorrent conditions of this property. The presence of black mold throughout the house was not only alarming but also a severe health hazard. It's unconscionable that anyone would subject guests, let alone families with young children, to such an unsafe environment. In addition to the black mold, we encountered a plethora of other issues that made our stay a living nightmare. The townhome was infested with insects, which not only added to our discomfort but also posed further health concerns. Water damage was apparent in various areas, suggesting a complete lack of maintenance and care for the property. The showers were ridden with mold, making them unsuitable for use, and the kitchen cabinets were no better, as they too harbored mold growth. This level of neglect and disregard for basic cleanliness is inexcusable. As if these issues weren't enough, we discovered broken glass in the dishwasher, which posed a serious safety hazard to our family, particularly our children. This blatant disregard for guest safety is inexcusable and irresponsible. To make matters worse, our attempts to contact the owners of the property were met with utter silence. They showed a complete lack of professionalism and a blatant disregard for the well-being of their guests. In summary, I would strongly advise anyone considering staying at this townhome to think twice and explore other options. The unsafe and unsanitary conditions we encountered during our stay were beyond unacceptable, and I cannot, in good conscience, recommend this place to anyone. The owners' negligence, coupled with the blatant disregard for guest safety, makes this accommodation a hazard to anyone who sets foot inside. Do yourself and your loved ones a favor and stay far away from this place. Your health, safety, and sanity deserve better than what this townhome has to offer.

There seems to be improvements to what I have seen in other reviews. There are some very rowdy neighbors on the pub next to this place, avoid if light sleeper. Mattress is pretty hard, again, avoid if this bothers you. Robert was nice enough to let us store our bags for a few hours so we could go on a tour. It was an adequate experience.

This place is an absolute rip off! After paying just under £400 for 1 night I arrived at the guest house which was equally dirty to find the key was not available as the cleaner was still working on the apartments. After waiting 2hrs and asking for an update 5 times I finally got the key. I then had to walk with my cases in the rain a 5 minute walk to the apartments where you’re met with a mouldy, dirty stinky carpet to the entrance and up the stairs. I then enter the apartment and find the Wi-Fi is awful buffering constantly, I then get a knock at the door from a worker to say he has left his food in the fridge and could he have it. I then take a walk round and find that there is no TV in the bedroom, the tap in the bathroom is clearly the wrong type for that sink as if you open it more than a stipple it overflows past the edge of the sink, the full drop of the bedroom blind is shorter than the length of the window so leaves an 8” gap at the bottom and I found sweet wrappers behind the sofa when plugging in my laptop. I feel absolutely disgusted and robbed for the whole experience and for the price too in a complete dirty dive of an area with loud music from across the road. Save your money and avoid at all cost. Extremely disappointing and shocked how they can get away with this as it is criminal!

Rarely I have seen a bigger gap between promise and reality. We had booked a „De Luxe Apartment“ for 235 pounds a night. The pictures looked very nice. What we got was a tiny room with a window giving directly to a wall at 20 cm distance. No daylight entered the room. Above the window was a pigeons nest with the corresponding noise the whole night. The bathroom was super small with no place to leave our toiletery. We hardly slept in the night and in the morning we had to go out to the street to know whether the weather was fair or it was raining. A terrible experience I would not like to repeat. We felt deceived and ripped off. The only good thing was the location.

Attempted many times to contact someone regarding arrival and entry to holiday flat. Never received a call back. Was contacted one day prior to arrival. Told to pick up key from DIFFERENT ESTABLISHMENT in city. Situated in a LOADING ONLY area. No Parking !! Very stressful. Once in key pick up place, NO ONE was on reception. There is merely a telephone number to call on wall. NO ONE answered this number and NO ONE answered the other numbers associated to the holiday flats either. Had to wait with two other families..... Eventually got key. The flats are around the corner but you have to go a long way in the one way system to reach them. There is a few parking spaces on the road outside but its a loading bay for local businesses and has restriction signs indicating penalty parking times. The flat itself was freshly renovated it seemed. Not enough mirrors in the flat. No mirrors near plug sockets for doing hair etc.

Good position and very clean. Didn’t like that after carrying very heavy bag I arrived at the address only to see a sign on the door stating that key needed to be collected from another location a couple of streets away, and not even directions given.
