Hotels with Bars in Innsbruck

Room very basic but generally adequate. Plus points: God location, nice lobby area and staff were friendly. WiFi seemed ok for me. Negatives: far too warm overnight especially with the very heavy duvet which is the only bedding available, had to leave the window open even though it was -9 C outside, this meant it was very noisy. Not enough pillows, 1 very flat pillow makes for an uncomfortable night for people used to more. I kept migrating to the divot in between the two narrow single beds making up the double as the curve in the mattresses was very pronounced. Not the cleanest room. Little sound proofing inside and very noisy from adjacent rooms. Could hear the person above coughing / sneezing / walking around and even zipping their suitcase at 6am!

We booked a Panorama Deluxe room for 3 nights, checking in on Sept. 20th. The property is centrally located along the train station and features a parking directly connected by elevator. The “piece de resistance” of this tall building is clearly its stunning view on the town and surrounding mountains. We were lodged in room 1104 on the 11.th floor which is the top floor featuring rooms, as the 12th accommodates the lounge/restaurant where breakfast is also served. Curiously, the hotel doesn’t have a lobby in a traditional sense: the concierge & cashier counter can be found in a small separate office on the basement and the elevators to the rooms are located in a small hall, across a glass door, which opens directly on Brunecker Street. Access security to the floors being managed by room key-card, you can enter/exit the property and the parking with no contact to any staff at all. Our room was a corner one, rather large, beautifully architected and nicely furnished in a contemporary metropolitan style. From virtually any point of the room (bathroom included) it was possible to spot some additional detail of the stunning panorama. The room was comfortable and quiet (in spite of the near busy train station), breakfast was good and we definitively had a very good time here in Innsbruck.

As soon as I got out of the train station, I saw the Iris Hotel sign, but there was no sign outside the elevator at the hotel entrance. It was the first time I arrived and I couldn't find a seat in the hotel lobby. It took an hour for someone to answer the door when the train arrived at night.

My husband and I stayed 3 nights in a deluxe room with Mountain View’s it was super clean and very spacious. The staff couldn’t do enough for you Jonas at reception was just amazing and so so helpful 👍 We had a few drinks down at the bar and the staff there were always ready to help even though it was a busy weekend with the ski jump competition all the staff were amazing love this hotel. We didn’t have breakfast there but I’m sure it would of been good. The hotel is only like a block or two from the train station so that was another plus and to walk to down town Innsbruck was an easy stroll. Went to the ****** but it wasn’t a winner 😩😩😩 Will definitely stay there again if in Innsbruck 👍

We arrived by train..and walked from the station to our gem of a hotel!! The location was in a perfect spot to explore the lovely town of Innsbruck. The golden roof was steps away-yet our hotel was happily not on the main square. The hotel itself has lovely outdoor dining, a busy bar area and lovely restaurant. Our room #45 was extremely spacious and had a large and comfortable bathroom and lots of hanging and storage space. The breakfasts were some of the best we had on our trip. The lovely Monica managed the hotel and the breakfast areas with such efficiency…we were in awe of her energy and lively spirit!! Thanks again to the friendly and hardworking staff. ..our lovely room( with a balcony) and the amazing breakfasts.

If the dulcet tones of ”YMCA” by the Village People thumping in your room is the thing that sends you off to slumberland, then the Austria Trend Innsbruck is the place for you! We noticed the raging wedding party upon our arrival just before midnight, and asked about the noise. The person at the desk assured us we would not hear it in our room. So off we went to room 411 where the sound was loud enough that I could identify the song (”Footloose”). After complaining at the front desk, and being assured they would instruct the DJ to turn down the volume, a few additional minutes made it clear we would not be able to sleep. In the end, they moved us to room 325 on the other side of the building, where we could only barely hear the ongoing matrimonial bacchanalia. The question is, why weren't we put in that much more silent location from the start? Instead, we were forced to repack our things, trundle down to another floor, and lose (in total) 45 minutes of sleep when we had a very early start the next day. I hope the management will consider guests like us the next time there is a wedding party in their lobby and place them in a room where one is actually able to sleep.

Because the hotel is located on the pedestrian street, I accidentally drove my car 🚗into it and was chased by a police car 🚓 and fined 25 euros. The parking lot 🅿️ is located in the basement of the commercial center opposite the hotel. I asked twice before I found it. In addition to the mall, you can see the Anna Column. The hotel is diagonally opposite, so you need to observe carefully 👀 The breakfast is very good 👍 The room facilities meet the travel needs, the location is particularly good, there are attractions and shopping places around, there are various restaurants and bars on the street at night, and there are music lovers playing and singing in the afternoon 🎤, if you like, you can give them a coin or any fee you think is appropriate

The Alphotel Innsbruck is probably the worst hotel we've ever stayed at! But we had no choice since we were on a tour package and this was the hotel that Gate1 chose for our itinerary. We weren't the only tour members who did not have a good stay at this hotel. Our tour group had a long day and we were scheduled to arrive late so we were all pretty tired when we arrived. Unfortunately the room we were assigned to didn't even look or feel exceptionally clean and I'm surprised I didn't take photos of the room! Comparing posted photos of the rooms on TA our room looked much older and didn't even have a real chair, but only one of those small round ottomans. And that ottoman was dirty and stained, so we didn't want to sit on that! The bedspread had that ”ick” factor, so we removed it but at least the sheets were clean. Carpet looked grungy so we made sure to wear our slippers and not walk barefoot on it. Regret not taking pictures of the room now. We've stayed at hotels with older or ”tired” decor but they were at least neat and clean, but not at this hotel! Now the ”fun” part was our bathroom door. I was getting ready to take a shower and went into the bathroom, but wanted to use my own soap and toiletries, so I went out of the bathroom and my husband (who was standing in front of the bathroom, looking at the closet or something right across from the bathroom) shut the opaque glass bathroom door. I went back to the bathroom and tried to open the door and it was locked! It was one of those simple privacy type locks where there's usually a pinhole that you can usually press and it'll pop open. Unfortunately, there was no pinhole but a screw so I tried twisting the screw but the door remained locked. Husband tried but it kept turning and he didn't have any tools so he called the front desk and they sent the maintenance guy up. The maintenance guy looked at the door and tried twisting the screw with the same results and said he needed to go get his tools. He returned with his small toolbox and tried several screwdrivers, with no luck. Then he tried using a small drill to remove the screw and still couldn't get the door unlocked. Meanwhile, we were sitting on the bed and watching tv since there was nothing else we could do. I texted our friends who were also traveling in the tour group and assigned to the room right next door to let them know what was happening. And to apologize to them for the loud racket, as the maintenance guy went and got his large power drill and was basically removing the entire door knob and panel. So the guy had to destroy the whole door knob panel because the door lock screw or nut inside the panel was probably stripped and couldn't unlock or open the door; so if I was on the other side of the door I would have been stuck in the bathroom! The overall positive reviews for this property are difficult to rationalize following a recent stay here. This is really a three star hotel and the experience was disappointing for the price. While rooms in this part of the world are frequently small, our standard double room was barely large enough for two people with bags to move around comfortably. Furthermore, the bathroom is minuscule, and there is no real privacy for occupants given that the only thing separating the bathroom from the sleeping room is a sliding glass door that does not fully close. There are few amenities in the bathroom, and only refillable shampoo was provided in the shower, no soap or conditioner. A request to the front desk for either of these items was met with a terse reply from the rather gruff staff member that this is all they offer. Air conditioning cooled the room quite effectively, but the front desk informed us that the set point function was not enabled and that we could only control the temperature and fan speed of the output, which meant that we needed to either keep it on all night despite the room already being cold, or to shut it off entirely. The room and main floor common areas were very clean. Assistance was also lacking for a purported four star property. We checked in an hour before the room was ready and were allowed to store our bags for that time, but when we returned to the hotel a few hours later not only had the bags not been delivered to the room, we were given a key and directed to their basement storage locker where we were instructed to retrieve the luggage ourselves. The front desk did not appear to be busy at that time so I assume this is standard practice. The hallways were rather noisy until later at night, and the walls were thin with noise from neighboring rooms as well. The location is central and very convenient for walking or public transport, but the hotel faces a busy street. Internally facing rooms like ours were in close proximity to an adjacent outdoor restaurant and alleyway. Breakfast was a relative bright spot, although we found this to be no better than at most hotels in similar categories, and there were no made to order options. Attendants here were prompt and courteous, however they really only cleared dishes and did not serve anything. All considered, and even accounting for the various nuances of similar properties in this region, the Maximilian did not feel like a highly rated hotel, and the overall experience certainly did not come close to reflecting the lofty nightly rate, nor the strong review ranking we all see here.
