GOLDEN TULIP Incheon Airport Hotel & Suites

I honestly don’t understand why this hotel is rated so highly. The main reason I chose it was its location. It’s right next to Unseo Station, which is convenient if you’re using the AREX line to and from the airport. However, there are plenty of other hotels in the same area that offer similar convenience, and if I were choosing again, I would probably stay elsewhere. The biggest issue was the service and overall experience. Official check-in is at 3:00 PM, but early check-in is available for an additional 22,000 KRW. I paid the fee and checked in around 1:45 PM, only to discover that the room hadn’t been properly cleaned. There were used towels in the sink, someone else’s rubbish, and even discarded contact lens cases. I don’t wear contact lenses, so they definitely weren’t mine. Because I was rushing to attend an event, I couldn’t report it immediately, but I spoke to reception later. To their credit, they refunded the early check-in fee, which I appreciated. The hotel layout is a bit confusing: Reception is in one building, while other hotel facilities and services are located elsewhere. Another frustration was the extra charges. Late check-out costs 11,000 KRW per additional hour, which felt excessive given the issues I experienced. As compensation for inconveniences, the hotel provided vouchers that could be exchanged for a juice box or some cookies. While the gesture was meant to be helpful, it felt out of touch with the actual problems guests might encounter. To be fair, the room itself was decent once everything was sorted out. However, a clean room should be the minimum expectation, especially when guests are paying extra for early access. The combination of the cleaning oversight, confusing layout, additional fees, and underwhelming service recovery left a very negative impression. Overall, the location is the only major advantage. Unfortunately, that alone isn’t enough for me to return, and I wouldn’t choose this hotel again.

I rarely ever write a review However I can only speak as a traveler who just wanted a day room . Close near the Airport . The location to the Airport AFTER the driver goes to T1, Then T2 it’s a Solid 18min drive total 30minutes . The shuttle runs every Hour starting after the 15 of each hour I landed yesterday at 1:45, cleared Custom time 305 Pm local time , Here is the caveat I contacted the hotel via the AI messenger prior to departing from CAN - ICN, block time 1.45 minutes Once I landed no message from HOTEL I Asked Airport personnel which door for HOTEL PICKUP , 8A folks for the GOLDEN TULIP I INITIATED the call to the Golden tulip for which it’s PAST 317pm , FYI : the pick up sign is Door 8 / @8A 1515 the shuttle suppose to Arrive .. there is a yellow signage with information, guess what I call the Golden Tulip.a Male answered I asked him about the 1515 pick up “ The GT representative said , I can’t hear you, send a EMAIL”… hmmm send a Email ! I call back , GT male representative replied “ Send EM… I then initiated another AI assist via Trip. Com . Oh it gets better .. the reply said” it will take up to 2 hours for a reply .. this has to be a prank ! I’m a Business Traveler 6MIL miles , literally 6 MiL and I have never ever , even in remote areas of the world have I ever had to experience ANY type of communication such as this …. Mind you it’s 38c outside sweltering Finally @ 4:22pm a black van arrive . The driver align in the middle of the street versus pulling nearest the curb for us to board the van… let’s talk about this pax van that holds 8-10 pending on you “ Pack em in like a Can” the is only enough cargo space for MAYBE 4/ 33” inch RIMOWA cargo luggage, guess what folks I have 2/33” cargo luggage , 1 carry on “ which the driver had great non verbal skills “.. but his point finger game was real! Like it’s 2026 . Mind you there was 3 of us , then we all thought we were Leaving the terminal . We are all full of sweat , clothes drenched and the driver reenter the terminal .. Me & the other Couple looked at each other . Like where is going … he pulls up and pick up a family of 5.. it’s now 452pm local time .. this family of 5 has luggage , cargo luggage . The driver now has to pack us , like Tamales. Luggage in the Passenger front seat .. God forbid there is an accident “ WE WOULDNT been able to Evacuate.. the roller bag that the driver decided to between Driver & Passenger seat .. he holding with 1 hand .. So glad he felt his Skillset of holding the handle of the luggage that kept rolling .. it’s no need to have “ Hands on the Steering Wheel! 🫣 20 minutes later .. we arrive , No Luggage Cart “ ITS GET OUT, Get your luggage Out “ duces ✌🏼… There No signage stating where to CHECK IN.. go this way , 👉.. so we are ALL looking left to right .. I enter , it’s 3 lines .. 1 Kiosk to check-IN , 1 guy who on the phone . I swear I felt like was In Tijuana at the border ,No organization Finally , I shared Me & the other Patrons concerns while waiting at the Airport , The young man with the glasses said “ Did you make a APPOINTMENT for the shuttle “! I said hmm not only did I AI chat while I was in the Korean VIP LOUNGE in my departure city which I had departed @1110 , then he said he has told TRIP COM to tell the guest call the hotel for pick Up , it’s not a schedule service.. I shared the phone logs , I showed him the AI messenger , oh yeah here is the Kicker… At 532pm local time i received a EMAIL from the front desk which I sent @1519 for which I was told 2X from the phone representative “ Stating schedule a pick up at the Hotel!” Are you serious 🧐 it’s 2 hours later. Finally after 19 minutes later. I get the key to the THE RESIDENCE RM choice w/ the Washer / Dryer I thought … oh no folks this is Not Dual function washing/ dryer option.. Instruction are in KOREAN , now I have to pull my phone out to translate ..I call the front desk .. the reply, there is a drying rack , use that 🫪… ok survival mode sets in
