Saltvik Farm Guesthouse

My 22 year old daughter and I stayed at the Saltvik Farm Guesthouse for one night on our trip around the Ring Road. It was a great experience staying on an actual horse farm. The guest room was simple but nice- 2 twin beds and a private bathroom with shower. Breakfast is served daily- bread, meats, cheeses, vegetables, cereal, etc. We had booked a horseback ride in advance online but weren’t sure what to expect. The stables are a short walk from the guesthouse. Having never ridden a horse before, I was a little nervous, but the young lady who was our guide was awesome. She explained everything, was very personable and very patient. She took us for a ride down to the coast. It was incredible! What an experience! Tip: when you arrive at the guesthouse, reception is located in the back of the 1 story building that is next to the big house

A wonderful place and our favourite on our road trip. Great, comfortable family suite overlooking the mountains. Super equipped kitchen and great riding. Daughter got to help brushing and turning out the horses. Lovely welcome.

Thank you for the great stay, the rooms were beautifully decorated and comfortable. Kettle right in the room was so convenient. Check in was easy! Loved the breakfast in the morning. The surroundings were lovely, especially watching the horses. Also booked a 2 hour seaside tour and it was amazing! Staff was friendly and helpful! Its also a short drive to Husavik where there were restaurants and other amenities, so very convenient location as well.

We stayed at the Saltvic farm this summer as we did the Saltvic Comfort horse back riding tour. It was absolutely amazing! Our room was wonderful and the bed super comfortable, the food was delicious with the friendliest service and the trips to GeoSea in town were great. But most of all the horses! We had such amazing rides through this stunning country side and the horses were just the best! Best 4 day trip we could have asked for!!

This charming guesthouse is composed from former stables. Our room was clean and simply appointed with a fantastic bathroom. Very comfortable bed and great shower! The guesthouse is located in the countryside outside Húsavik. There is a sunny common room and shared kitchen with complimentary tea and coffee throughout the day. The breakfast buffet was delicious with lots of options. Highly recommend. has riding stables on the property.

Room was decent size. Parking was a bit removed from the rooms and could involve a hike. Breakfast was good Use of kitchen facilities was a bonus

Beautiful location! Friendly staff. Clean cottage with everything we needed. Loved having the horse back riding tour right on sight. The horses were wonderful and location was close to GeoSea so that was an added bonus
