A friend recommended this place, and I'm so glad we chose it! The room was spotless, the food was delicious, and it's super close to the Huangshan South Gate Xiaoyaoxi transfer station – just diagonally across the street to the left. It made getting to the mountain so convenient. Last time, we stayed somewhere else that offered free pick-up, but the drive was quite long, and they only dropped us off at the hotel entrance anyway. I'll definitely choose this place again next time!

Qingtang Peak No. 6 B&B completely redefined my perception of guesthouses. The owner is incredibly warm and thoughtful, taking the time to explain all the important considerations for climbing Mount Huangshan to each guest. The room was pretty good, and the heating was strong. The service was excellent, and the staff were very friendly! For breakfast, we ordered noodles for 15 yuan, but they also brought us boiled eggs and egg fried rice afterward and even asked if we wanted porridge, but we were too full to eat anymore. Choosing the right B&B was an absolute game-changer for our Huangshan trip! Based on online guides, we had initially prepared for the hassle of queuing at the South Gate. To our pleasant surprise, this B&B is conveniently located right by Xiaoyaoxi Station – which is also a less crowded starting point – and it's just a short walk from the entrance. Qingtan Peak No. 6 Homestay exceeded all our expectations and offered a truly perfect experience! The guesthouse was immaculately clean throughout; from the bedding to the bathrooms, everything felt fresh and pristine. The amenities were also comprehensive, meeting all our daily needs. The location was absolutely unbeatable – direct access to the mountains made hiking incredibly convenient, saving us significant travel time. The owner's recommended hiking trail was fantastic: beautiful scenery, not too strenuous, and completely bypassed crowded areas. After our hike, we tried their Stone Ear Stewed Local Chicken and 'Tiao Shui Yu' (a local spicy fish dish). The hotel is conveniently situated just 200 meters below the South Gate, though it's about 2-3 kilometers from Tangkou Town center. There are surprisingly two passenger transfer centers, with the Xiaoyaoxi center being closer to the hotel. Luckily, we pre-arranged a shared ride with the hotel from Huangshan North Station, which brought us directly to the hotel entrance. However, when we went out for a stroll in the afternoon, our taxi back dropped us off at the town center, leaving us with a significant walk to get back to the hotel. Getting to Huangshan from the hotel is exceptionally convenient. The owner even held an evening briefing, offering a wealth of useful information for our trip. The accommodation was excellent. The owner and staff were incredibly warm and welcoming, providing guests with a hand-drawn map of Huangshan, trekking poles, and raincoats. Excellent location, just a short walk to the main entrance of the scenic area. However, the room was tiny, and the bedding felt quite damp. It's located right next to a main road, and it got very noisy from 5:30 AM. Breakfast was around 15 RMB per person, I believe. Service was acceptable; they offered advice on planning our hike.
