Huangshan Bai Yun Hotel

I really recommend a stay here: * Spent two nights (2 persons) in area A. * Breakfast and dinner was good. (A lot better than the shops nearby). * Really friendly people up there offering a great service. * Room was very clean. We had everything we needed as we spent only the nights there. * There was also a small Great performance of the hotel stuff in the evening. * Got a morning coffee when we left in the morning at 7:15 a.m. Our way up (hike): * Huangshan north railway station 11 a.m., took the bus there to Tankou transportation hub. * Stored luggage there in the second shop row on the right (1st shop, recommend this, no losses). * From there to Ciguang Pavilion by bus from transport hub. Don't get off at the ropeway (like all people) if you want to hike, stay in the bus for the next station up. * We needed 5 hours to the hotel with great views of the area. Arrived there at 5:30 p.m. Down to Huangshan north railway station: * 2 hours 45 minutes from the hotel. * Caught the busses directly.

e had a wonderful experience at the Bai Yun Hotel. It was made even more special because of the extra care given by a member of the staff. Xiaoye went above and beyond in making us comfortable. We were able to communicate through WeChat translations. She kept us informed of weather changes and the best time and place for the most spectacular sunrise. Xiaoye made us feel like we had a friend and was able to communicate freely with. I highly recommend!

The hotel was located halfway along the mountain, so it was really worth staying to take a break for the night. The service was top notch, was served at the reception area by（艳艳） she was really friendly and helpful and would send us weather updates/sunrise/sunset timings and the chances of seeing them and also answered all my questions via WeChat. She also gave us some free local snacks for our hike down. We had the buffet dinner in the hotel and for the price, the food selection was very impressive considering we are up in the mountain and the food/drinks were all hand carried by the porters (which you will see along the way). It has the local specialties, roast duck, fish, etc. There was no air-con but they provided an air cooler so it was cool still. Also, we went during Mid Autumn Festival and they even had a Dragon Dance in the hotel lobby and some performances (I think some were by the hotel staff). Was pretty amazing as it was rather misty and foggy that night but they still kept the mood and festivity going. Kudos to them! Although it is a little pricey for the hotel, but it was well worth it and considering the limitations the hotel has to deal with due to its location, I was really satisfied and would highly recommend!

Super hospitable. The staffs are super helpful and willing to help you out if you have any issues. Add them on wechat and they will give you the weather information. They will tell you the sunset sunrise timing and the probability to see them. They even provided some snacks at night for me and my friends to eat. The hotel room has winter jacket for you to use if the weather is cold. There is also umbrella. And also a basin for you to soak your leg after a long walk. Super recommend to anyone that comes huangshan mountain.

We had a great time here at Baiyun hotel, known for its great location here in Huangshan and the exceptional services provided by their 管家s. Our 管家 is 小叶 and we were very touched by her sincerity and helpfulness during our stay here, she made sure to keep us updated on the latest sunset/sunrise timings via wechat and provided us great recommendations on our hiking routes. As foreigners, she made us feel very welcomed here and very approachable in asking her for help or services anytime. There was even a performance specially put up by the Baiyun staff every night, it’s heartwarming to see the amount of effort they go through to make their guests happy. I will highly recommend this hotel, not just because of its great location to sunrise/sunset spots and small eateries, its comfortable beds and hot showers toilets, but also for its wonderful and applaudable services that the staff will provide for each and everyone of its guests. Thank you 小叶 for making our stay here so wonderful :)

Manager Huang Xinghua and the hotel staff made my stay really enjoyable. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the service was always prompt and friendly. The location was convenient, and they went out of their way to accommodate any requests. Overall, a great experience, and I'd definitely stay here again. Friendly reminder: dont bring your luggage here, pack as light as possible.

The Baiyun hotel is located in the middle of the huangshan mountains and one of the best hotels to spend the night on. You can hike to two peaks to see the sunset and sunrise. They are 15-20mins away if you walk at a normal pace. You can take two different cable cars up the mountain and walk the rest of the way to the hotel (Yungu, Yuping). We took the Yungu Cable Car and, with a little detour, arrived 2,5 hours later at the hotel (1h pure walk time. 270m elevation). The service is outstanding with a dedicated service member who can answer all your questions over Weechat. Our contact person, Ji, answered every question we had within minutes. Very clean room, and they provide you with slippers, toothpaste, etc. and also shoe heaters if your shoes get wet.

The staff is very friendly but the hotel is rundown and not worth the money. Best welcome I've ever had as a foreigner. The hotel the staff was extremely kind and helpful, apparently because I was a foreigner. But I'm afraid that apart from the staff, there was not much else to be joyful about. The hotel itself is rundown and quite dirty. For the price we paid, we were disappointed. It is clear that they allow themselves to ask this outrageous price because of the location. In any other place, this same hotel would be 10 times cheaper. I also understand that getting the food, supplies etc., to all the hotels on this mountain is a challenge and will obviously affect the price. We actually had the occasion to see 4 rooms because we were a family and rented 2 rooms. We had rented two wooden rooms on the 5th floor (top floor). (Already here, a word of warning, there are no lifts, so you have to take the stairs). Both room were run down and with a very bad smell. It didn’t look like in the pictures at all (have a look at my pictures for reference). It was also very hot in the rooms (maybe because it was under the roof), and no air-conditioning. We asked if we could get another room (also because our 82 year old dad was with us, and after walking up the mountain, we didn't want him to walk up and down 5 floors). The staff was very understanding, and immediately gave us 2 rooms on the 3rd floor, at no extra cost. They were slightly better. They weren't as hot and didn't smell, but still rundown. The rooms are small. The shower door didn't close and there is mold in the shower. There is no hand shower, but the shower head is fixed on the wall. Furnitures are old and used. The carpet worn-out. For breakfast we arrived 15 minutes before closing, but they had already started taking away the food. Couldn't even get an orange juice. Some good points: The buffet dinner had a lot of choices. But for me as a vegetarian there were very little choices. But again the staff were super friendly. They immediately made two vegetarian dishes just for me. We got free drinks such as coffee and milk tea from the coffee place at the entrance. In the evening there was a show, just in front of the hotel. In the evening we also received snacks delivered to the room. We would not stay again in this hotel, we don't think it's worth the price. The experience would be different if the whole hotel was completely renovated and upgraded. For this price we expected so much better. We don't understand all the good comments but I'm guessing it's because the staff insisted on that we write a 5 star review before giving us free drinks. We didn't agree as I always try to be as honest as possible in my reviews.

Amazing. I felt like I was treating like an VIP guest somehow. When we arrived at the hotel, one of staff aside to taking care of us through Wechat. She helped us with everthing from information to ordering dinner. She even gave me a video of sunrise and sea of clould because that day was so bad weather. I couldn't see all of this. The hotel its selv has a great location not from Bright Summit.
