A&EM Art Hotel
4.3/568 Reviews
We had a very mixed experience at A & Em Art Hotel with my family. While the hotel itself is clean, rooms nice and big (we had deluxe), and location superb, the hotel has also its' disadvantages - the staff being the biggest of them. During our three night stay we met with several staff members and almost all of them seemed to be very indifferent if not straight up rude toward us. Not all, but most of them. We had one male receptionist and a bell boy who were very friendly and attentive. Another complaint goes to breakfast. How can it be possible that when a place serves breakfast until 10am they are run out of food at 9am!? We didn't get any pho soup and even the coffee had ran out. And the staff did absolutely nothing but said that that's how it is. A big group that had come in is not an explanation, they should know about their guests. Another explanation was guests from the hotel across the street. That doesn't fly either since it's part of the same group (A & Em Corner Hotel). I usually don't care that much about hotel breakfast but this time we were travelling with my wife and our 1y11m daughter and having no breakfast really made our life more difficult. Pros - clean hotel - nice and clean rooms with complimentary water bottles for each day - excellent location Cons - breakfast, should probably go at 6am to receive any - staff and their attitude (excluding one bell boy, one receptionist, and the cleaners)

Overall, the front desk beauty can speak English. The overall feeling is OK, that is, breakfast is sometimes good and sometimes bad, I don't know why. Help us book a car and print the documents. Okay.

The room is clean. The location is also good. The bad thing is the breakfast, not much varieties. We stayed there for 4 days. The first day we get up early and food were still available even though not variety. The second day, we went for breakfast at 9AM, everything empty only bread and one curry left, I asked for white rice to eat with curry but they mentioned that no more. Then the 3rd day, we went early around 8:15/8:20, also same nothing left even no rice. We really disappointed and the last day we even didnt go for lunch, we just order from Grab.
Ibis Saigon Airport

Tan Son Nhat Airport
Nice location to catch early morning flight and the hotel provides free shuttle to the airport. The room was clean and spacious. However when we arrived at the airport and tried to call the hotel’s reception a few times to arrange shuttle pickup, there was no way to reach the reception. So we took a taxi at the airport and got rip-off by the taxi driver and he even stole couple millions VND from us. I hope there is a better way to arrange the hotel shuttle from the airport.
Aristo Saigon Hotel

We stayed at Aristo Saigon Hotel for two weeks. It was a very pleasant experience at a very clean establishment with spacious rooms. Nice greeting with cold drinks and very fast check in. Very courteous and helpful staff with a special note on Pamela from the reception who did beyond expectation to fulfil our requirements. Breakfast is very good with a variety of local food. The very central location of the hotel is giving a great opportunity to walk towards the Cathedral, the famous Post Office, Zoo & Botanical Garden, Opera, museums market and shopping malls. Street food, restaurants and night clubs are everywhere around. Good value for the money
Glenwood City Resort

District 2 - Thao Dien
If you are considering to rent an apartment from Glenwood or use their Resort, stop here unless you want to pay $300 USD a month in electricity. I am an American living in Ho Chi Minh for 2 years. This place took total advantage of me and my fiance during the hardcore lockdown in Ho Chi Minh in Septmber of 2021. During the no go outside order by the Vietnamese government this place forcrmed us to come outside (by turning off our electricity and water) they forced us to cross the street to pay our rent and our Electric bill which was a 7 million electric ($309 USD) bill which is 5 times higher than the average electric bill. Check back soon and I will be attaching a link to our YouTube video showing how Shady that place is. When we came across the street to pay the bill we were also filming and they told us to turn off our cameras. We refused, in my experience the only people who don't want to be caught on film are those who are doing something wrong. The YouTube video will also show our electric meter spinning like crazy, so fast you cannot even see the black marker on the turning wheel. They installed a new electric meter in our unit and you can hear it grinding the gears at times because it can't even go that fast. They forced us to pay a six million electric bill the next month because we could not leave due to the hardcore lockdown and Ho Chi Minh. Avoid Glenwood Residence and Apartments in Glenwood Resort at all cost. Greenwood was given the opportunity to refund all of our electricity except for an average bill to avoid a one-star review. They failed to heed the warning. I am also doing negative reviews on all Resort sites next. The had the chance to do the right thing, return my full deposit and all my electric charges except a fair amount, they declined. This review will their Karma.
