Unfortunately, I arrived after dark and had to leave very early the next day, so I didn't really have time to enjoy the town, although the owner was happy to tell me all about it. She also fixed me a nice, light supper, since I did get in so late. My room was one of several off a central living area shared by all residents--there was only me and one other. Although getting shoes off at the entry level and then carrying my bag up the stairs was a little challenging, once in the room it was very comfortable--two rooms put together so that I had a sleeping area and a living area that included a kotatsu table. It all felt very cozy and homey.
