Lyttos Beach

A stunning and family-friendly hotel with all you could ask for on the grounds. From a beautiful gym, swimming pools galore to an incredible water park on site for not just the little ones but the big kids too… it has it all! The food courts had so much variety too with different settings for different nights. The entertainment kicked in just as I was leaving and the bar side singing was just beautiful, a great touch to the space ito give it that adult-exclusivity feel away from the other areas of the hotel which catered for the whole family.

Fabulous resort for a worry-free family holiday. The buffets were just spectacular with so many fresh and appealing options that you'll go back again and again to try everything. Water park for the kids is well-maintained with lots of options from the slides to the lazy river. Service is impeccable and the whole feel of the place, despite being packed, is one of relaxation. The only improvement I'd suggest is to the kids' club, which felt understaffed, underloved and a bit of an afterthought.

The shows are great and the animation team does a great job at performing them. Tilly, Daniel and Honey did great at the shows and also at some of the other the activities

It was fantastic!!! I loved it!! The music was well chosen and the performances where excellent. I wish it was a little longer so the find didn't have to stop.I also loved how the performers where so friendly and willing to take pictures with every one. I highly recommend.

It was a great experience with good activities such as volleyball. Also the animation staff is great and doing a good job. especially honey and Tilly. Go for it and enjoy the resort with great shows and a bog swimming pool with slides for everyone

We spent the week at Lyttos Beach in Crete with our two children (6 and 10). The location is wonderful right next to the beach. We booked a regular sea view room but they gave us a family suite with a swim-up pool 10 meters from the beach! These rooms are truly amazing. There even was a small side room for the kids, allowing us adults to use the couch instead of slumping on the bed after the kids went to bed :) The staff throughout the resort is very friendly and everyone speaks excellent English, I do want to give an extra shoutout to Manolis at the main pool bar. What a kind and friendly gentleman, the way he interacted with my kids and made them more comfortable even with the language barrier was astonishing (even spoke some Dutch!) If there is an employee of the month contest he certainly has our vote, my son was absolutely smitten with him (if you read this and remember, the ‘cold chocolate milk boy’, he's still talking about you back home!) The grounds were meticulously maintained. Even the sea kelp was removed from the beach to give you the best possible beach experience! The beach is a mix of sand and pebbles, when you go into the water there are rocky parts. Beach towels are complimentary and can be changed daily at the main pool. There are actually two resorts, Lyttos Beach and Lyttos Mare. It all looked more or less the same with a different color scheme, with Mare catering more for adults (there is one baby waterslide, that's it) and Beach catering towards families with the water park and playground. Mare folks are allowed to use the facilities from Beach but not the other way around. This is an all-inclusive resort. The food is of good quality, but more or less the same every day. At the water park, you can eat fries all day long, but if you want something healthy you have to pay attention to what you put on your plate or wait until the next meal in the main restaurant. Soda stations are everywhere, but almost all of them are whitelabel/not branded. This imitation soda is nasty, especially the cola/Diet Coke is not drinkable. If you're spending a day at the pool and want Coka Cola or Fanta be prepared to walk to a larger restaurant. You can get soda/beer/wine at every drinking station, but if you want a cocktail you can only get that at the main pool bar or in the evening at the piano bar. This time/location barrier was a bit frustrating sometimes especially if you are on the other side of the resort at the water park with the kids. There are a LOT of pools, they have salty water (not as salty as the sea, it seems there is some kind of desalination/filtering going on) and are not heated. Only the pool in the wellness area inside is heated but officially off-limits for kids (though that rule does not appear to be enforced). In April the water temperature was very low, we gave our kids wet suits providing a bit of relief but those only work well if you stay in the water and not if you run around to catch a slide.The water park
