Anatoli Apartments

If you want to really relax and enjoy your holiday, then this is the place to go! On arrival (our transfer dropped us at Star Beach so head to the go-kart track, go down the side and turn right towards the sea, where you'll find it opposite the water park), we were offered complimentary drinks and efficiently shown to our room by Effi. The room was clean with fresh linen (it was a bit dated but traditional greek). The bar area is open with some breeze. Anna served lovely drinks and then we met Rafael..... he's the epitome of service!! Attentive and funnily rude (definitely in a good way!). We hit it off straight away. I asked for a particular drink he didn't have, so he went and bought some! Also could mix every drink asked for. We ate several times and the food was hot, fresh and good value. Everywhere cleaned daily as well. The pool wasn't too busy and again cleaned every night mainly by Costas (the owner). The sunbeds a little uncomfortable. There's plenty of bars, restaurants, shops, car hire and a Spar within 10 minutes walk. Try the sunset cruise (book next to the Spar for best value) and the train (only tavernas at the old town stop though). Highly recommended!

Wow! What a superb little find!!! We are staying here for the week, room only but have eaten in the beautiful restaurant many times & spent many an evening here. Rafael & his lovely family have gone above & beyond to make us feel so welcome. Apartments are clean with everything you could need for your stay, food is delicious, service outstanding, pool clean & fresh, views stunning & location just perfect, right opposite a beautiful sandy beach & a short walk into town. If you're looking for 5 star luxury where your name is just a number & getting as much money out of their guests as is humanly possible then this isn't the place for you. If however you're looking for exceptionally well run, clean, traditional Greek apartments with that friendly 'at home' feeling where the family literally trip over themselves to accommodate your every need then this little gem is definitely the place for you. Rafael and his family made us feel so welcome ...we didn't stop in apartments but we ate in there restaurant 4 nights and it was superb everytime with that little extra attention to detail every night ...lastnight Rafael had poppy my 14 year old daughter make cocktails behind the bar which made her night as she is very shy but felt comfortable in this friendly environment...have a good season see you soon for definite 👍 😊

Apart from Rafael being a good host, I cannot comment on this holiday complex with a positive statement unfortunately because the negative points far outweigh the positive one's. Happy to provide photo's once I can transfer them over. Overall it was very disappointing experience.

We’ve just enjoyed 11 nights at Anatoli apartments. The apartments themselves were basic but clean and we decided to have air conditioning at a cost of 7 euros a night. We were bed and breakfast and had toast, eggs, bacon most mornings from the menu, however they did accommodate any other requests such as yoghurt and honey and toasted sandwiches. The waitress who served us every morning was friendly and we always had a laugh! We ate in the restaurant many times and always found the variety and quality good at a reasonable cost. The family that run the apartments work long and hard and couldn’t do enough for us! Costas was always cracking jokes as was his son Rafael, he even had my dad helping in the kitchen!😂 Swimming pool area mostly quiet with plenty of sun beds. The beach was 5 minutes away through star beach hotel which consisted of 2 or 3 little coves. We recommend walking right of the star beach hotel where sun beds are slightly cheaper at a price of 8 euros for 2 beds and one umbrella. The man working at the beach was extremely helpful. Star beach hotel was a large hotel with bungee jumping, large go kart track, mini golf and small water park. If you like that sort of thing it is right next door! Hersonissos town was a 10 minute walk away if you wanted the lively area. We visited old town Hersonissos by taxi (12 euro). Lots of nice restaurants around a small town square, not much else there. Koutouloufari was a 25 minute walk uphill yet doable or 10 minute taxi ride. Again lonely small town with plenty of shops and restaurants. We ate in Galinis which was superb and had fantastic service and not too expensive. Overall was relaxing and we had a good time!

Our return flight got cancelled and we had to find accomodation for an extra 3 nights, so stumbled upon these lovely little apartments on *********** After spending 11 nights in a manic all inclusive hotel, it was a nice relief to spend our final days in Crete relaxing here. It's been a family run business for the last few decades and it shows, as they were very accomodating towards us. All spoke very good English. Very spacious and reasonably priced apartments. Very good value for money. Came with air con, kettle, fridge, pots, pans etc. The bar and restaurant is right in front of the apartments, so being self catering, it's very convenient. There's also supermarkets and other amenities a short few minute walk away in the main high street of Hersonissos. Various different beaches and bars are also just a short stroll away. Go karting, crazy golf, bungee jumping is all on your doorstep. The food and drink in the restaurant was great and again, very good value for money. Live sports were also shown in the bar, which is a bonus. Pool area was great and fairly quiet during the day with plenty of deck chairs and inflatables - our son loved it. Very happy we chose to stay here.
