Very clean, rooms sufficient with large bathroom. Location is not directly at the pedestrian area but you have walked in 5-10 minutes. Check in has worked smoothly. If we were to come back to Heidelberg we would book the hotel again.

We stayed at this hotel while a family member was recovering in hospital, and the staff were beyond incredible. They were extremely helpful, and always nice - you would never see them without a genuine smile on their face. We stayed for almost 2 months, and we were always made to feel like the hotel was our second home. The rooms were also modern, newly renovated, comfortable, and very clean. The location was super - close to many great restaurants, close to the old own, and for nature lovers, just a minute away from the philosopher's walk in the surrounding mountains. I would highly highly recommend this hotel for their great location, superb rooms, and most of all, the incredible hospitality.

This hotel is in an historic building. The ceilings are high and our room was a deluxe double and very spacious. The breakfast buffet was delicious and had a wide variety of foods--from fresh baked bread, to make your own waffles, to cheeses, eggs and other foods. The staff at the buffet was very helpful and lovely. The hotel is well located just a few blocks from the Alstadt (old city) and it was easy to walk everywhere from there. It's also right next to the bus/tram station. However, a few things you need to know before you book this hotel. 1) The reception desk is only staffed until early evening. 2) Housekeeping is sporadic. We were there for 6 nights and the room was only cleaned once. 3) There is no air conditioning. We had a fan in the room and opened the windows and it was bearable at night, but not super cool. On a very hot day or night this could really be an issue. 4) With the windows open, it is really noisy, particularly because the bus and tram station is right across the street. 5) There is no shampoo or conditioner provided--only hand soap at the sink and body soap in the shower. However, there's a drug store across the street where you can get what you need. 6) There are small sets of stairs that you may have to go up and down on the floor where the rooms are. If you have mobility issues, try to ask about this when you book so that you get a room where this won't be an issue. We had a very nice stay, but those are things I would have liked to know before I booked, so I thought I'd include them in a review.

We chose this hotel for its location and were able to explore Heidelberg solely on foot. The staff were helpful and courteous, both via email before our stay and during our stay. We booked the suite which gave us a bigger room and included a mini fridge. I did find the bed to be much harder than I'd like and would've liked more pillows but honestly I didn't request any. They probably would have gave us some. Room was clean.

On the Neckar River, not far from the old bridge, the view is first class, the room is large, very beautiful, breakfast is in the basement, more abundant. There is no parking space, only the 8th parking lot on the main street, or the 12th parking lot of the food plaza. It is about 10 minutes to go to the hotel. The 8th parking lot stops for 17 nights, slightly expensive. It is said that 12 parking lots are cheap. In addition, the extra bed plus the early fee is more expensive. Heidelberg is very beautiful and worth a visit.
