We had an enjoyable stay and the Staff were very friendly and welcoming. However, this hotel doesn’t get a five-star overall due to the reduced servicing of rooms and, although not a large issue, no drinking water provided in the room.
Breakfast on the first morning was somewhat disappointing, with the menu having been removed from the tables due to, we were led to understand, the kitchen being very busy. Maybe it was due to a large number of guests? It improved greatly on day two, when the menu had re-appeared.
A lovely building but some areas looking a little tired. The hotel does what it promises but don’t expect any frills.
We didn’t use the Leisure/Spa facilities so cannot comment on those.
