Harbin Xueli Premium Hotel (Central Street Sophia Church Branch)

Hardware: The location is indeed convenient, a five-minute walk to St. Sophia Cathedral and about ten minutes to Central Street. The room size is decent, but I have to complain about the shower door. There's no seal at the bottom, and the shower head faces directly towards the door, which means after every shower, the area outside the shower stall is completely wet, making it very easy to slip. Even for a budget hotel, this is a basic facility, and to have such a bug is just speechless. Cleanliness: Upon check-in, I found black lint-like debris on the duvet cover and one of the bed sheets, which was very disappointing. I contacted the front desk, and the housekeeping department responded quickly, coming immediately to change them. However, it still left a slightly unpleasant feeling. Environment: When booking, I specifically requested a quiet, non-smoking room. However, on the second night, a septic truck worked downstairs from 10:20 PM until 2 or 3 AM. It was incredibly noisy, and the air was filled with a 'poopy' smell, which was again, speechless. The next day, walking out, I could still occasionally smell the 'poopy' odor on the street right outside. Service: They were responsive to requests and answered all questions quickly, with prompt feedback and resolution. This point is definitely commendable.

Overall, it looks okay. However, the soundproofing at night isn't great; you can hear conversations and snoring from the next room, which is a problem if you're a light sleeper. The underfloor heating isn't very strong, so it can feel a bit cold in the mornings. The main advantage is the excellent location, being only about 300 meters from Saint Sophia Cathedral and not far from Central Street, making it very convenient for shopping at clothing stores.

Facilities: Decent. Cleanliness: The cleaning staff did a very thorough job. Environment: Quite convenient, pretty good. Service: Excellent service. Self-service afternoon tea: Very good, with hot drinks. Overall, it offers great value for money. Just be aware that some rooms can be noisy, so try to avoid those particular ones.

This was my second stay, and while the room was a bit smaller than the first time, it was still clean and hygienic! The hotel service remained warm and welcoming, with everyone being very friendly. They even gave us a souvenir when we checked out. Plus, the hotel has a parking lot, which I didn't notice last time.

The service was excellent, with plenty of frozen pears and various snacks readily available. The staff's attitude was exceptionally good. It's a great hotel, and there's a breakfast spot nearby that's both affordable and delicious. Highly recommend!
