My friend and I were guests at the Bora Bora hotel from the 16th June 2022 until the 20th June 2022 for the DLT MALTA event. Upon arrival we were greeted by a queue outside that lead onto the street. Once at the desk we were told that we needed to pay an ”echo charge” for the duration of our stay. When they took the payment, we were told that our room was not ready as cleaning was being underdone, but little did we know that our rooms would not be ready for a further 6 hours. We were hot, dehydrated and exhausted. We missed out on over half of our day due to the un-helpful reception staff negligence. I suffer from low blood pressure and I needed to rest for a while, but instead I was completely ignored by the curly, dark haired receptionist despite asking for pain killers for my migraine due to the stress that was caused by the hotel. It took me having to wait outside of our room until the cleaner came to open the door for me. When the cleaner arrived she was livid at the fact that our room had been ready for several hours but the reception staff downstairs were communicating something different. The wait time became so bad that a member of staff from Pollen decided to offer us his room just so that we could lay our heads for a short while. I have NEVER experienced anything like this in my life on holiday and I will be making a formal complaint on every single platform that I can about my experience at Bora Bora hotel. Please may I add that we were also charged for ice when we requested it at the hotel and when we asked for more tea bags, we were told that we were to use the ones that were given to us on the first day of arrival. Throughout my entire stay at this hotel, I did not feel like I was on holiday.

A super enthusiastic family, worth having.

The accommodation was great and the food was very tasty the only problem was the tv did not work and there was nobody available to fix it.

Having stayed in several hotels in the area (Dolmen, Seaview, Topaz), I decided to go for the closest to the action for my latest trip. I believe the Primera Hotel has been undergoing upgrades since COVID. The results of these are visible in some areas and in others there is work to be done. All the staff were superb. Friendly, helpful and welcoming. I didn't catch many names, but Njelli??Nellie?? on reception, Clayton night reception, were great. Housekeeping were also polite and very friendly. The room, on the second floor, was quite large and comfortable. The furniture (wardrobes, drawers, bedside cabinets and fridge all looked brand new. The bed was two fairly basic metal frames with relatively poor mattresses, which had very stiff edges so there was no chance of a spread across the two singles to treat as a double bed. The bathroom was again a good size and was clean with what looked like fairly new tiling. The only downside of the bathroom was the ridiculous shower cubicle with doors that don't roll on the runners but must be almost picked up and put into place when showering. The roof terrace again looks as though it has been recently renovated and was a really surprising treat. Wonderfully clean and tidy. Plenty of loungers and a pool that is big enough to have a cooling dip when the sun gets a little hot. A TV plays tranquil music and WC/changing facilities were a nice touch. I would guess there is enough space for a small bar or a pool table up there if the owners were so inclined. I watched the Saturday of the Malta airshow display with a great view over St. Pauls bay. Such a shame that the Sunday was canceled due to the high winds. The location can not be beaten. So many bars and restaurants are within a few minutes (in some cases seconds) walk. Less than a hundred yards to the promenade beach and swimming. All in all I wouldn't hesitate to recommend, on the understanding that The Primera is not perfect but I believe they are working to get there. I for one will be back. Many thanks

Starting with the information - we stayed at So City as a young couple (who arent particularly into nightclubs/bars) to see Matla for the first time over a week. I have given this a 'benefit-of-the-doubt' rating due to the hotel being incredibly new. We picked So City Hotel because of the value, it was incredibly well priced. I'd imagine this is a strategy due to it being so new but it was certainly well worth the price we paid. On to the hotel as a whole - I feel this is definitely aimed toward capturing people coming to Malta for some night life. Its positioned so that no more than 10 seconds from leaving the lobby, you can be in a bar, and their are some nice bars surrounding. That said, we werent there for that - but this location also meant that finding an evening meal, or a quick early night drink was incredibly easy. Exploring the island was also very easy from here, Valletta was a very short journey, and as we had opted to rent a car, there was a carpark about 5 minutes walk away (Pengardens) which is reasonably priced for over night parking, and we never struggled for a space. The room was very comfortable, and the mattress was perfect and bedding very soft and comfortable. Our upgraded room was also incredibly spacious. The theming is a nice touch and makes the room a bit more characterful and individual. Staying on the 7th floor, there was minimal noise at night, altough id be concerned if we needed to keep the window open.... The black out curtains were also amazing for keep the room dark for a little bit of extra sleep. Constructive criticism for the room would be: The shower tempurture is difficult - the hottest setting is insanely hot (my other half loves hot showers but this was too much for her also) and it wouldnt go cold, just cooler, it also seemed to get colder through out the shower and you found yourself adjusting. There is not a lot of storage at all for longer stays. This is perhaps a by product of it feeling aimed towards 'nightlifers' who might stop 3 nights or so. I would perhaps ask reception for additional hangers if you have plenty of clothes for a longer stay. The mini fridge, altough useful, is not big enough to put larger water bottles in, which can be annoying. The aircon unit is situated in a place which means it blows directly at the bed. I tried to play with the control but there was no way to adjust it that I could find. Im trying to cool the room, not refridgerate myself. The timer on the aircon also didnt seem to work, so setting it the blow for 30 mins whilst i went to sleep just didnt seem to work. The TV is not a full smartTV which is a shame. Just channels and an internet browser, which are never nice to navigate around.... On to other notes: Breakfast is just what you need. Its not an all out buffett where there is everything you could dream of, but there is more than enough and a few items cycle so you can expect a slightly different breakfast each morning. We have been to Talbot & Bons boutique hotel in December 2020 but since I had to restart my TripAdvisor account I am rewriting all reviews. We visited during covid and we can assure you that all the necessary measures were taken into account. The breakfast had a great choice unlike other hotels who reduced choice blaming covid. The lady serving us breakfast helped us select the items and place them for us in a plate so no one will pick and choose him/herself, very safe. The yard is peaceful to enjoy your daily breakfast. Pity it wasn't summer cause they have a lovely pool too close to the Breakfast area! Rooms are all beautifully decorated, spacious with plenty of amenities too. The boutique hotel is located in a little village very close to the airport but we were impressed that we heard no planes at all. Parking exactly in front of hotel is not possible but just 2min walk away is the village square with plenty of parking spaces, really comfortable. Will definitely revisit when in Malta :)

I arrived on the 3rd of November to the 24th of Nov. Normally don’t leave reviews, good or bad, but felt deep blu boutique deserved a review considering how helpful everyone at the hotel was to me during my stay. Rooms – spacious and spotless, the cleaners are very thorough and do a great job. Spa/Gym – fantastic area to which I made the most of and had a sauna also. Food – Breakfast, you have a variety of choices ranging from English breakfast to omelets, continental. Lunch/Dinner – variety of choices and the food and service is superb!! The staff will go above and beyond to help you and give you the most comfortable experience in Malta. Surrounding area is absolutely stunning and relaxing, you can go diving, swimming in the sea, boat trip to the cave and many other bars/ restaurants within walking distance. Thanks to all at the Deep Blu Boutique for a great experience.

NEVER AGAING IN THIS HOTEL! I had booked this hotel from 21st to 25th of june for 2 persons. We paid the deposit one month before we came for our room. We came for wedding of our dear friends same as the other unknown people from group that came from Serbia. Two days after we came the hotel, staff assigned some lady into our room WITHOUT asking for our permission. Offcourse I went on the reception immediately to ask for help and I ask to speak with menager Alexio Borg, employers told they can’t do anything about my problem and the manager never show up to fix this problem. So, me and my friend were in that room with unknown lady for 2 days. As me and my frined’s checkout date was on the June 25th, and that lady Gordana’s checkout was on the June 26th, one day later, we agreed to leave our belongings in the room until we leave to the airport later in the evening. However, without informing us, the cleaning staff packed our personal belongings, (in the room were personals things, money, jewelry) into large garbage bags and left them at the reception. The staff even yelled at us, questioning why we hadn't packed our things yet, again without any warning. Gordana was then moved to a smaller room, again without any prior notice. This situation left us feeling displeased and frustrated. In the end, even though the initial agreement was for the price to remain the same, the room was charged at a higher rate for Gordana. At the end, friend who is living there went to speak with menager Alexio, and he insulted her based on her Serbian nationality,threatened and curse her, and slamed the door into her face. The worst experience ever!!
