Hyatt Vacation Club at Hacienda del Mar

Friendly staff! The facility was well kept and located about 40 minutes to San Juan. I only had breakfast one day there and it was okay. I think the food can improve a bit, but other than that it was great. The room was extremely nice and spacious.

Rated 5 star? Not a 5 star resort as I know it. The Ritz is right down the road... The price is not 5 star either. It is a very pleasant, clean, quiet, friendly, comfortable, affordable resort with lots to do and great for all ages. I went with my tween kids and we all had a great time. Great pool/spa. Beautiful beach free of Sargasso. Neither overcrowded nor vacant. The clientel seemed very pleasant and respectful. We loved the condo set up. Ours seemed newly renovated, modern and well furnished. We appreciated being able to cook our own meals, yet have the option of dining beachside. The gameroom was a big hit with the kids and just enough organized activities without feeling you were in a workout video or gameshow. We didn't miss the drunk masses nor the mobs of Eurotrash. The resort is isolated, so stockup before getting there. We really enjoyed the place for a nice vacation.

This should not be marketed as a hotel. It’s a family time share. The restaurant is not a restaurant…it’s a bar that serves food outside. No indoor dining option. Very isolated from anything. Car rental is a must. We did not finish our stay and moved to a more suitable resort for a traveling couple looking for a quiet time away.

Loved this property! Beach and pool! What’s not to love? All the staff was fantastic! The Beach was wonderful. I read that the ocean wasn’t swim able but found that wasn’t the case. There was only one day the water was too rough. We had a two bedroom and WOW we were impressed. So much room for our family of 4. We can’t wait to plan our next trip back!

After a 1 night stay at a Disappointing hotel near San Juan, we were OVERJOYED when we arrived at this Hyatt Vacation Club property! Starting with a FABULOUS host named Rodney who checked us in, and our very nice room and balcony with views of the pool and sea, to the very nice pool area with multiple hot tubs, GIANT pool, beautiful beach, this place really was a slice of Paradise!! (Note: ALL rooms face the pool area & beach with lower floors having more of a pool area view, and the upper floors looking over the pool area/palm trees to the sea!) There were all kinds of games, Ping Pong, Beach Volleyball, a mini soccer field for the kids, and a nice game room to make it a dream vacation for any family!! They also have Basketball, Tennis & Pickleball (and provide all of the equipment too) I heard that some people have complained about the fact that there is only 1 restaurant/bar on the property, but the food, drinks and service were all great, and it was certainly perfect for our 2 night stay. The hotel also provided us with a list of nearby restaurants - some of which will be happy to even deliver food to/meet you in the lobby! Perhaps the hotel might someday consider a shuttle van to take people to/from nearby restaurants - even if there is a slight fee? Anyway, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND staying here, and we'll be back for sure!!!

Amazing experience. Highly recommend. Beach access and relaxed vibe were top notch. Service was unbelievable. No complaints or improvements needed.

Too long wait at the mahi mahi restaurant, front staff extremely helpful- the dresser fell over my thigh leaving a big bruise due to not being zip tied

My wife and I spent our Honeymoon at Hacienda Del Mar and had the absolute perfect trip! Staff was amazing, hotel is beautiful…you can’t beat the view! 10/10
