This is a very old hotel so don't expect luxury. The Rooms were large with great large glass windows and doors that open to a balcony to sit outside. The rooms were clean and the A/C was ICE COLD the way I like it. The hot water for the shower was was great and hot. Our room was 210 and the best in my opinion we had lots of trees off our balcony so the birds ate bread right in front of us. The pool was a very fun pool that was two levels opened until 11PM. The putt putt was free. The Breakfast buffet was $8.95 and was abundant in choice and delicious, The location was great and convenient to walk everywhere. Grocery Store was across the way. I booked this 4 hours before I showed up and got the room for $51.00 Taxes are high state and resort taxes so beware. Oh and one last thing Parking was FREE great deal in itself because parking in this town is expensive. This hotel is located two buildings down from the Gatlinburg Covention Center.

Outstanding facility! We really enjoyed the 5-6:30 receptions, the breakfasts, and the one dinner we ate at the hotel was outstanding as well. We very much enjoyed sitting outside around the two firepits, even if the normal bear visit did not happen on this trip. This is a relatively new hotel, so everything was shiny new. But the attention to cleanliness was very evident. The general manager was very evident and continuously walking around the property to make sure all was going as expected. We will definitely make this place our first choice on our trips to Gatlinburg/Smoky Mountains. Highly recommend!

I have just one word to describe the staff at Park Vista: PHENOMENAL! Their pleasant demeanor, helpfulness, and dedication truly set them apart. First on my list of ROCK STARS—though not in any particular order—is JJ (Jennifer) from Group Rooms. She was incredibly responsive and made our room reservations a breeze. Next up is Phillip from the Events team, who was both professional and a pleasure to collaborate with. I also want to give a shoutout to the amazing staff at the Front Desk, Vista Grill, Banquets, Housekeeping, and Bell Service. Each team member contributed to an outstanding experience. Last but certainly not least is Ronnie from the Front Desk. His attentiveness and proactive approach made a significant impact on our stay. He embodies the spirit of hospitality and goes above and beyond in every interaction. I highly recommend that hotel management recognize Ronnie—he deserves a raise or some form of acknowledgment for being such a valuable asset to Park Vista. If you have the chance, please look for Ronnie and say hi for me!

The service was great! After checking in Ginger sent a text to ask if everything was good with the room. We had a light out in the bathroom and it was fixed the next morning. The only other thing is the water pressure was low and the heat didn't shut off after it got to the temperature we had it set on it just ran all night and it was so hot even when we turned it all the way down. We couldn't sleep it was so hot! We just cut it off at night and we stayed comfortable all night. Other than that it was a fare stay.

So first off let me say that this hotel is still an ok place to stay. I would however also say that by charging 300+ a night for a room you have certain expectations, and those were not met this trip. From the outside, the hotel was lovely as always. The lobby seemed clean but had a few minor issues, and the furniture seemed like it could use a refresh. So my initial impression was favorable. We got to the room and at first glance, things seemed ok, but when you started looking around that's when the issues started. First, the chair had a fabric piping that was half torn off. The carpet seemed to be really worn in spots and could have used a cleaning. The shower had a patch job that looked like someone with no experience slapped calk around the edge of the shower and the drain; it was seriously an eyesore. Then when my daughter went to take a bath she told us it looked like something black was on the walls. Sure enough, there was something black on the wall. I am no mold expert, but it appeared to be black mold although I have no way of confirming that. Then we went to look at the beds before we got in and one bed had a blood spot on the mattress cover that lined up perfectly with the mattress itself so I know that no one even attempted to clean it; all they did was slap a clean fitted sheet on the bed. The mattresses on the beds are so bad that my wife and I woke up with sore backs every morning; I never used to have a problem with their beds in the past so I can only assume that the mattresses are in need of replacing. Also on the balcony when the HVAC unit is running it sounds like you are sitting next to a jet engine. I have stayed at this hotel at least 5 times in the past and do not remember the HVAC being so loud on the balcony. Also, they claim to be short-staffed on housekeeping so they only offer room cleanings once every 3 days during your stay. That means if you need towels, toilet paper, or the trash taken out you have to call them which is not great for what you are paying for this room; I can see every other day, but seriously every 3 days is ridiculous! The hot tub had tiles missing and water was leaking through the opening of the backer board which I cannot imagine is good for the hot tub. Also on all 4 nights of our stay, it looked like the hot tub got cleaned 1 time. When you are charging 300-500 a night for a ”standard room” depending on the time of year you have expectations that things will be taken care of, and that your room will be clean and well-kept. I used to pay 150-200 a night for this hotel and the hotel was immaculate, so clearly someone is taking the money and not reinvesting in the property. I stay here to escape the bad experiences that I've had at other Gatlinburg hotels, and that used to work until this trip. I really hope they reinvest in this property and gut all the rooms to do a complete makeover because otherwise there is no way this hotel is worth the price they are charging current

DDfloyoKeep in mind this is truly a historic hotel. We were caught off guard when we first entered our room but quickly realized it had everything we needed. This truly turned out to be one of our favorite spots ever. If you are looking for a modern hotel with fancy amenities this is not the place for you. If you are looking for a clean hotel with wonderful staff and a slower pace this is your place. We were always greeted with a smile from the desk to the cleaning staff. Breakfast was delicious, and they served fresh tomato slices with it just like my grandma. The hotel is right in the middle of the main activities so you can come and go easily. The rocking chairs around the porch were a perfect spot to rest. I cannot say enough about how much we enjoyed our stay here. Can’t wait to go back!
- This is a dated facility that has had a few updates along the way. There was a gap under our entry door that you could stick a finger through. We had an adjoining room with unknown guests on the other side. The guests were not an issue, but the locks are old and seem very inefficient had their been an issue. If you look at the surfaces in the room such as the dresser, side tables and bathroom, everything appears clean. However, don't look at the dirt on the air/heating unit or baseboards because they have not been cleaned in a very long time. - The breakfast options are somewhat anemic, however the girl that took care of the desk and breakfast area did a really nice job keeping things stocked and cleaned up. (Most appreciated.) - Upon check out - No one got a receipt....we were all told it would be emailed to us. Hence, if there was a discrepancy in our bill we could could not address it at the time. It felt evasive and shady. - If you have a river view, it is very nice. It is restful to listen to the river flow. The chairs are hard and have no cushions, so your sitting time becomes limited. There is a pathway down to the side of the river, so check it out. - The parking is tight, but definitely saves you the $10-$20 that others charge you to park in the Gatlinburg area. This facility is within walking distance of downtown and makes for easier traversing since you don't have to figure out where to park. - Overall, the stay was okay. I feel like they are working on making things better, they just have a long ways to go.
KKarla VWe had stayed at other Hampton Inns where the rooms, housekeeping and breakfast were far superior. Our room was okay except for the sticky carpet, who knows what was spilled and never cleaned. Housekeeping was modified where towels were exchanged and trash emptied. One housekeeper even asked if we needed service. Doors slamming by neighboring guests at all hours was not easy to tolerate. Breakfast was not good. Guests would use one utensils for the meat, potatoes and eggs so some of each was all over the others. Having an egg allergy, I was never able to have the hot items due to this. Then the Bread and English muffins were limited one day and the selection all week was poor, not what we were used to at other Hampton Inns. The manager and front desk staff were very pleasant and helpful. Overall it was a disappointment from stays at other Hampton Inns.
JJUNHUIThe price is pretty good in the tourist area. Self-driving car is more suitable, there is free parking, the bed is relatively large, comfortable, and very clean. There is a balcony right by the creek. It takes about ten minutes to walk to the city center.
Ok. To be fair in this review, I am saying from the start that I will stay here again. My review is for others, as for me, I can deal with less than ”exceptional”. The motel is very dated. There is no was around that fact. If you are going to be spending the majority of your time in the room, this might not be your best option. If you are using the room as a place to rest and recharge as you visit the *****, then you will be fine. The biggest two advantages for this motel are the location and the price. The most reasonable pricing I have found for summer visits, especially for weekends. The location is great. Actually, if you planning on visiting Anakeesta, this is the perfect location. It literally is a five-minute walk to the main entrance gates. If you prefer to visit the *****, start by walking towards Anakeesta, and about halfway down, you will see a sign with a small walkway that says “The Village”. Take this shortcut and not only does it put you in some of the neatest shopping attraction in Gatlinburg, it also allows you to bypass most of the foot traffic at the redlights and allows you to enter in and out of the main sidewalks on the *****. It is a great shortcut. Back to the room, it is as others report, in need of some TLC and remodeling. On our visit the pool, which our room overlooked, was very unappealing. It was in need of serious maintenance. There was a smaller pool near the center of the complex that seemed more inviting. The bathroom in our room was extremely small. I am talking about barely having enough room to get out of the shower and to dry off. But back when the motel was built, the concept was to put more focus on enlarging the living areas, and reduce the necessity areas to the smallest functional size. It is not a fault of the motel itself; it was all purposely designed that way. I will also have to be fair and mention that hot water is a blessing when you do get it. A couple of showers were in lukewarm water, at the best. But it is manageable. I did not enjoy the pillows, or the course feel of the towels and sheets, but then again, as the traveler’s moto goes: pay less and expect less. One other plus, is that if you do your research, you can also bypass the main ***** in Gatlinburg to get to the hotel. You can take a shortcut by Dollywood and come in the back way. This is a narrow, two-lane mountain road, but it saves time in traffic. You can also take a shortcut at the first redlight as you begin to enter Gatlinburg. It winds you around a short trip to the upper end of the parkway, and then you can follow the GPS to the motel. We never had to suffer the delays of trying to drive through the *****, and the continual foot traffic that ignores the walk / Don’t walk signs at the traffic lights. So, to make the most of your stay, bring your own pillows, bring some Lysol, some room freshener and then get ready to explore Gatlinburg. I know that I will.
GGuest UserI picked this hotel based on reviews rating and pictures. I wasn't disappointed. My husband was a little apprehensive when we pulled in, a fresh coat of paint on the balcony rails would do a world of good for curbside appreance. Check in was good the front desk man on check in was not the most friendly person. Room was great, clean comfy bed fireplace and loved the balcony. Plenty of space in here the entry door could use a little TLC. Breakfast was really good 👍. Monday morning at check out this guy was great sorry I didn't get his name. Asked if we saw an bear told him we did and he showed us video of bear on the property. So if the maids don't clean your room for a bit this is a real thing. One picture showed the bear in the maid cart it was crazy. Wonderful stay would stay again, actually I already told my husband let's go back.
AAnonymous UserI came to visit the Great Smoky Mountains and found this hotel from Ctrip.com. It is very cost-effective and has a good geographical environment. It is close to the main street of Gatlinburg town and is convenient for travel. The receptionist is an Indian, warm and kind, responsive to all requests, and the breakfast is rich.
