La Meridiana ReIais & Chateaux

A short trip from Monaco or Genoa is this wonderful homely hotel in Garlenda where we had the pleasure of spending 3 days , for a work breakaway session . Everything paper wise is adorned with pretty water colour pictures of different aspects of this lovely hotel. The staff are delightful and are super helpful which is a reflection of the charming hardworking owner who is very much in thick of things . The work environment was perfect and in the evening the delegates were treated to a wine tasting and Olive oil tasting before dinner- both of which were very interesting with amazing wine and very interesting oil. The meals need a separate mention as they were really delicious Lingurian meals of super fresh ingredients with fish , seafood , pasta, and more -always with tasty desserts and great wine . The staff really went out of their way to make sure we were all happy and even if it put the kitchen out the request was fulfilled. There is an 18 hole golf course within a five minute walk from the hotel , passing a quaint very old little church on the way where you can play or go for a lovely walk. And there is a lovely pool and gym at the hotel . I believe there are some other very interring interesting things to see around the area but unfortunately we didn’t have the time to investigate so hopefully we can return to this little gem of a hotel which even caters for guests with dogs and or small children. Ok stay but we travelled with kids and they were told to be quiet around the pool. The hotel is marketed as family friendly so we thought this was very poor. Either make it adult only, over 10s, or have kid free times. Ruined the experience for us

Location in a top place, in the middle of nature, breakfast very good. It's like to stay in own villa, with service customer oriented. Far from noise of traffic near sea . Room very traditional italian and accurated style. I suggest ..

La Meridiana is a beautiful place near home. We have always admired the beautiful gardens, the charming interiors where everything is carefully chosen to enhance the beautiful setting. This time we went for a dinner in their Bistrot Restaurant. The food was very good, the service friendly but classy and attentive. The place was immaculate as always. Some years ago the owners offered me a book of the Relais et Châteaux named “L’âme et l’esprit” (I think). Well this place has a soul and it embodies the Spirit of the association. Bravo!

We passed a wonderful day in la Meridiana. At arrival we had a really very warm and truthful welcome. Dinner was very good and it was so nice we had a very good wine advice by the owner of the hotel. breakfast was really fantastic. It is a one of a kind hotel in a very beautiful setting with a very personal and familial touch .

For the fourth time we had the pleasure to stay at La Meridiana in early september 2022. The kindness of the people towards the guests and - in our case - towards our Golden Retriever Lady was exceptional, the food excellent, the rooms spacious, the atmosphere very familiar.
