Lone Pine Motel

So, only stay here if you are traveling solo or with a partner and its the last play to stay. The service was friendly. However, thats where the positive ends. The rooms smell like cigarettes, the door chain lock was missing, the shower is tiny and shower floor is cracked, the heater will heat up the room too much and then will turn off in the middle of the night. However, it was the cheapest option around Garberville. The town is very cute.

We drove south from Crescent City and called ahead of time for a reservation. we arrived at 6:45pm . Check is next door at the sister motel. Registering at a drive thru window should have given us fair warning. We are not fussy people and I like to be compassionate to businesses, but this blew me right out of the water. There is nothing I can say that is positive except that the bed was comfortable. It was dirty, unkept and unmaintained throughout. I found clothes and a pair of runners in the dresser. The dresser was dilapitated and missing handles. The space to get to the bathroom required walking sideways between the bed and the door. The bathroom door handle had vicegrip dents in it from a likely forced entry and there was a hole in the bathroom door as well. The floor was laminate flooring thankfully not carpet. It was dirty and unswept. The bathroom did not have a ventillation fan and there was an accumulation of grime, mildew and mold in the corner by the toilet. Wifi was nearly non existent. There was no coffee pot in the room. We slept with the window open to get some fresh air. I woke up with athsma symptoms. High priced at over $120USD for a night. NOT recomended
