August 31, 2023
We went in August 2023 with my family. I'll start with the cons, because they ruined our entire vacation. And if I knew about this when choosing a resort, I wouldn’t even go to this hotel for free. I recommend reading the review to the end. Cons: COCKROACHS under the pillow, but I'll start in order. Our room had access to the street, supposedly a small terrace. But that's a different story altogether. There were two uncomfortable stools there and that was it. If you want to sit there in the evening, you won’t be able to do it for long. No one will provide you with a table or comfortable chairs. In front of the window of our room on this terrace there is a wonderful sewer system, from which at night crawl out handfuls of COCKROACHS the size of a little finger. And so you sit in cockroaches, go to your room with cockroaches. Our room was standard with one double bed. And there are three of us, extra bed is not available even for a fee. Unfortunately, we only found out about sleeping accommodations upon check-in. There were no other rooms available even for money. The pillows are small, uncomfortable and hard. Having removed the pillowcase, I saw yellow stains on the pillow. But as it turned out later, this is not a problem. The trouble is COCKROACHES. They swarmed at night in the bathroom, on the bed under the pillows. It was scary to go into the bathroom in the evening. We were also afraid that we would bring this evil spirits home. The furniture is shabby and beaten. Yes, this is the standard and you shouldn’t expect luxury, especially in Abkhazia, but we didn’t expect to see furniture made of expensive wood, and certainly not in a dead state. The room is dim. There is an air conditioner, but it could barely cope, so during the day it was as useless as a fan. The doors are thin, so you could hear everything that was happening on the floors (who was leaving, coming in, what they were talking about, etc.). There is zero sound insulation from them. The hotel area is spacious, all green. But these greens are sprayed with some kind of chemical (trea**ent). Exactly where the pool is, in which children are swimming at that moment, and where the children's playground is. Everything would be fine, but they do it in the morning, in the afternoon. When people go for a walk with their children, go to breakfast, etc. There are no spray notifications. And the hotel is family-run, the likelihood that a child will touch the leaves and put his hands in his mouth is maximum. The area is beautiful, but there is minimal lighting. You won't be able to take a walk on the playground in the evening. And it’s difficult to call a children’s playground a playground. Trampoline and rickety slide for children under 3 years old. There are no lifeguards on the beach. About 300-500 meters away there flows a river into which rotten fruits and vegetables are poured (as we understand, all the dirt and waste) from the market. Maybe not only this and not only the market, because the river flows along guest houses, the market, shops and cafes, and of course flows into the sea. The sea is dirty. An intestinal infection (rotovirus) walks around there like the owner of the sea. Everyone is talking about it: hotel workers, tourists and locals. We were greeted at the reception with the words to give the child Polysorb. The child caught rotavirus on the second day of rest. Vomiting and diarrhea. Fortunately, there is a pharmacy nearby, there are medicines, the prices will not say that they are low, but more or less acceptable. There are two restaurants on site. You can choose some food. IN
