GGuest UserAfter two unbearable nights in a tiny 14-square-meter hotel, I made a last-minute switch to One Fukuoka. I heard it was the top hotel in Fukuoka, so I wanted to give it a try.
The hotel's location is excellent, right in the heart of the Tenjin shopping district. You can step out and immediately start shopping, with Daimaru, PARCO, and Mitsukoshi all within walking distance.
As soon as you enter the ONE FUKUOKA BLDG, you're greeted by a subtle, very soothing botanical scent. The hotel is next to an office building, so you need to look for it a bit, then take the elevator up to the 19th floor for check-in.
The room is incredibly spacious. Fitting several suitcases isn't an issue, and there's even a dedicated luggage stand inside for organizing your belongings. It has a living room and a terrace directly facing The Ritz-Carlton. With double sinks and a separate wet and dry area in the bathroom, what more could you ask for in terms of space in Japan?
The hotel is very new, and both the bed and pillows have just the right firmness. The air in the room is fresh; after one night, I didn't get my usual rhinitis, and I even achieved an unprecedented deep sleep of over an hour. Besides the usual amenities, they also provide cotton pads, hair ties, mouthwash, socks, and bath towels. The mini-bar selection is also very rich and completely free – I drank to my heart's content.
The only minor flaw I found was a small ring-shaped nail on the carpet, which looked like it might have fallen off a keychain or something similar. It made me feel like the room hadn't been thoroughly cleaned, but overall, the cleanliness was acceptable and not dirty.
There's a library bar and lounge on the guest room floor, offering unlimited complimentary drinks and desserts (they even have ice cream!). I regretted only staying for one night.
The hotel's overall style reminds me a lot of The Sukhothai Shanghai – therapeutic, serene, and natural, but with a slightly more homely feel than Sukhothai. I'll definitely stay here again next time I visit Fukuoka!

DDalilei_The room layout was a bit cramped, but the facilities were quite complete, and it even had a bathtub. The cleanliness was just average; there was a sticky mark on the toilet rim. The overall soundproofing was so-so, and the hallway leading to the room was a bit narrow. The front desk service was mediocre; compared to The Blossom in Kumamoto, this hotel's service level felt a bit lacking. It was nice that you could pick up skincare products and hair oil from the lobby on the 2nd floor. The hotel's location is decent, about 1 kilometer from the Hakata Station shopping area, a 15-minute walk, and you can also walk to the Tenjin shopping district.

LlamanThis hotel has the best location in Fukuoka, right next to Hataka station and connected to subway exit. If you need a top location for travel it is truly unbeatable. Breakfast is also nice with wide variety of food. Room has nice decor and is of decent size.
On the down side, this hotel has the strangest room setup with the basin so far away from the bathroom that it is not convenient at all.
The worst part of this room is the bed and pillow are by far the hardest i ever tried to sleep in. Could not get a decent night rest when the pillow is hard like a rock.
Overall try for the top location but the room really needs work especially the bed and pillow.

BBeautiful day to travelWe stayed as a family of four in a room with four beds for one night, and it was a great experience. The location is excellent — just a few minutes’ walk from the train station once you exit, with convenient stores nearby. The hotel sits at the beginning/end of the Tenjin area, making it perfect for food, shopping, and exploring.
What we loved most was that it’s surrounded by several Yatai stalls. When we first arrived in Fukuoka, we stayed in the Hakata area and had trouble finding Yatai. Staying here made it so easy to enjoy the Yatai vibes, even though the food is similar across stalls. Highly recommend staying in this area instead if Yatai is what you’re looking for!
Service at the hotel was very good — staff were kind and helpful, from assisting with luggage storage to helping us call a taxi in the morning. The hotel also has a small spa room, though it can get quite crowded. There’s a self-service laundry room too, costing about 100–300 yen for wash and dry, which is very convenient.
The room was comfortable with cold air-conditioning, cosy blankets, and a dehumidifier/air purifier provided. Everything was just right for a good night’s sleep.
Overall, a pleasant and convenient stay — great location and helpful staff. Would recommend!

AAnonymous UserThe hotel is quite close to Hakata Station, about a 7-10 minute walk from the Chikushi Exit or Chikushi Side Exit. There's a convenience store just to the left when you exit the hotel. Most of the dining options are closer to the station; the famous Hakata ramen was much too salty for my taste.
The hotel's exterior and reception lobby are spacious and impressive. Due to an issue with our room type reservation, the front desk attendant on duty that day patiently and thoroughly explained the situation with a friendly attitude. For a hotel in Japan, the room size was decent; we could lay out two suitcases, one large and one small. The hotel is well-maintained and clean, and they provide two complimentary bottles of mineral water. The double bed was quite small (definitely not 1.5 meters, probably around 1.3 meters). My biggest frustration was with the showerhead; due to water pressure issues, it constantly pointed to one side, making it very difficult to control the spray direction.

AAnonymous UserLike all the other reviews here, Forza’s location can’t be beaten. Its literally less than 1 min walk from the airport bus stop. The popular Hakata Station is also within a minute walk. The location alone earns the hotel a 5 star.
Checking in and out of hotel was also an ease. The staff at the counter was helpful and friendly. A bag of toiletries was also prepared for my 8 yr old with kiddy slippers, which was much appreciated.
The room was decent size, we chose the 豪華雙人房 (19 sq m I think?) with a mini couch area – perfect for backpacks, a window, and a portable massage mat. I loved the magnets that we can stick to the door to let the cleaners know whether or not our room needs to be cleaned. What’s more is that there is an option to choose “Take out trash and change towels only”. This is a really thoughtful option, because we really don’t need our room to be made up every day. And it’s perfect that we can just have the trash taken out and towels changed.
I was a bit nervous about the cleanliness of the hotel rooms after reading some of the reviews on here, especially when I have a kid with me. I don’t want her to get sick from the germs in the room. But to my surprise, the room was quite decent, atleast I didn’t see any visible dustballs or dirty air con ventilators. Maybe because the hotel already took action to clean all the rooms and air con vents after reading some of the reviews here about dirty air con vents? I took a photo of our room air con vents for parents to take a look =) The air purifier in the room was also very comforting. We stayed in Forza for 6 days and none of us got sick =D
For the first 2 days, I did smell a bit of a urine smell when you kneel close to the carpet/toilet. It was a slight faint smell. By the 3rd day, there wasn’t much noticeable smell anymore, not sure if it was the air purifier that helped or if we got use to it. Hahaha.
On one of the nights that we returned to the hotel, we noticed that the cleaners had forgotten to put a trash bag back into the trash can. So I called reception and told them. The suited man that came with a trash bag didn’t seem too friendly. He looked like he either didn’t want to be there, didn’t know what he needed to do, or that we are trying to cheat him of a plastic bag. Anyway, I had to explain that I need a trash bag because I didn’t want to make the trash can dirty. I even had to SHOW him the trash can to convince him why I needed a bag. When he finally saw the empty trash can, he gave us a plastic bag, and left an extra one inside the trash can. He didn’t seem too pleased that I was trying to help protect the hotel’s assets, he just looks as if I disturbed his night.
The shower head took some time to get use to too. Normally shower heads will be placed at a slight angle, but the shower heads in our room shoots straight at a 90 degree angle, which was quite hard to use coz the water will be shooting directly at your chest, and you would need to kneel down a bit to wash your hair, otherwise you would need to hold the shower head with one hand, while washing with the other hand. It’s a bit hard to explain, so I took some photos to show. But you will know what I mean when you stay at the hotel.
Anyway, overall the stay was still very pleasant. I will definitely choose Forza again the next time I visit Fukuoka. Thank you Forza.

TThe FestejosWe stayed at Hotel Oriental Express Fukuoka Tenjin for 8 nights as a family of six, and we booked three rooms. The location was really convenient because everything we needed was just a short walk away. The rooms were small, which is normal in Japan, but they were very clean and comfortable.
For breakfast, it’s honestly better to try it once and skip the package. The food is okay, but the menu never changes. Since there are so many great places to eat around the hotel, it’s not worth booking the room with breakfast. You’ll enjoy your meals more outside and you won’t end up repeating the same thing every morning.
They also have a lounge on the 3rd floor. We only wanted to use it for a simple midnight snack from our food delivery, but we still weren’t allowed because the rule says you can only eat there if the food is bought from the hotel. The lounge does have vending machines for meals and drinks, which is convenient. For families like us who prefer to sit together, the rooms are too small to eat comfortably, so the lounge rule felt impractical.
Housekeeping was great. The staff were always polite and greeted us, which was a nice contrast to one of the receptionists. She raised her voice more than once and always seemed irritated. She acted as if she owned the hotel. This was not just with us but also with other guests. We didn’t bother getting her name anymore, but it was disappointing because it’s not the level of hospitality you expect in Japan.
Other helpful things: there’s a coin laundry, which is great for long stays, and there’s a pharmacy on the ground floor that was just about to have its grand opening by the time we checked out.

Mmolly&Mr. PoshIt's my first time check in an unmanned hotel.It turned out everything was smooth. Step into the room is just like step into my own apartment, it has ample space for a person. If Free coffee and ramen for breakfast is a plus. I didn't expect the breakfast is included. I saw only once the staff is in the lobby. Btw she's pretty. There're numerous restaurants and attractions by walking distance. However, the price of this hotel is drastically different within a month. It puzzles me.
