The room we took was very big for Japan standards! Location is truly amazing! It is near all the shopping malls and the main Hakata Station. Food and restaurants can be found everywhere. There's the famous Ichira at Sun Plaza which is just next to the hotel. It's also within walking distance to several popular shrines and shopping malls. They have a laundry room on our floor. Not sure if available on every floor but we had it on our floor. They are very strict with what you throw away though. I think it's because they are usually the last stop for many travelers and alot of people throw away luggage, clothes etc and it makes it inconvenient for the hotel staff.

Room was soundproof and on 8th floor. Bidet sprayed rather hot water which was scary and the shower temperature very hard to adjust and water was mainly too hot. Need to keep turning the control to cool it down before you can start to shower. Better to leave it on after you adjust else you have a spend a long time readjusting. Bed does not offer very good support but reasonably comfortable. Hotel charges a fee of 3000 yen for disposal of luggage (including if you spoiled yours by accident). Based on the info online the regulation is you need to pay for disposal of bulk waste but the hotel marked up the fee at least 3 times which I feel is a rip off for a tourist with a damaged luggage and had to get a replacement suitcase already. They put a tiny dustbin in the room and had a TV only with local channels. Service staff unable to even understand and speak basic English. Remember to stick the sticker on your rubbish if it does not fit in the dustbin else they won't clear it even if it is obvious it is rubbish. Grab the free honey tea satchets from front desk and help yourself to the amenity bar at the level 1 lift lobby. They are not high quality but sufficient. The 2 bottled water and daily housekeeping much appreciated. Pajamas too big for me.

My second time to choose JR Blossom Hakata chuo as my hotel in Hakata. With its excellent location to JR, subway and bus terminal, as well as Hankyu department store and AMU plaza, it’s super traveller friendly! The hotel itself is a nice one with sufficient amenities and quite spacious in size compared to other Japanese hotel. The breakfast is impressive like Japanese home style.

Pros: just around 5 mins walk to the Hakata station with convenience store and pharmacies nearby. Shopping malls and many restaurants around. The room is of considerable size with the rate you’d paid and generally clean. The hotel staff is helpful when we were doing check in and check out and the process is smooth and fast.
Cons: Tho’ it’s a renovated hotel, the bathroom is a bit is a bit outdated. The sink is small and the bathroom has a bit of foul smell. The bed is so soft and the pillows are either too soft or too hard. The room temperature is quite hard to be adjusted to a comfortable level, so sometimes we feel a quite hot while sometimes we feel so cool.

Very good location, connected to the Hakata Station via underground passage at Exit West 18. Access hotel main gate with a few feet away from West 18 exit, so not much to worry even it's raining.
Room is relatively bigger than normal Japanese hotels. Daily cleansing is available with two bottle water a day.
Breakfast is okay with a variety of mostly Japanese food.
