Fairfield Inn & Suites Fort Worth Downtown/Convention Center

The employees were very courteous and friendly. I was dismayed when I had to valet my car at a rate of $30/night, which I was not informed of prior to arrival. I felt I should mention so that others will know what to expect. The location is right at the convention center, which is approximately 3 miles via car ride from the Stockyards. The room was clean, as was the hotel. I felt completely safe staying there and was satisfied with my stay overall.

Had a blast. Everything was located downtown and within walking distance. The valet drivers was wonderful and very helpful. The staff was wonderful also. Whenever we needed anything, they brought it within 5 minutes or less. My only negative was there was no phone in the room to actually call the front office or housekeeping. I will definitely be back.

I’ve never had such a horrible experience. My husband booked this for me without checking the reviews. When you first walk in it looks nice. Nice lobby with new carpet and nice big Christmas tree The gal at front desk was the rudest and unhelpful person I’ve ever dealt with. 1st she had ear buds in and was face timing some guy who appeared to be laying in bed. (I’ll explain shortly how I know that) She didn’t acknowledge me at all, she just stood there staring at me and talking to someone Finally I said I’m here to check in. Her response was just Drivers license. I won’t bore u with all the details but 1- I was not only one there at desk having issues with her. 2- reservation was under husbands name so she was refusing to let me check in. When I told her I knew my husband had told them during reservation he would not be with me. The front desk gal then stuck her phone up to the glass in front of my face. First thing I saw in the corner of the phone was a guy laying in a bed with a blanket on. Originally I thought it was the manager or something. No she was putting the phone to my face with a screen shot of the reservation and proceeded to ask me where on the reservation I saw my name. I proceeded to call my husband who then called reservations. Reservations told her basically to let us check in. When she got off phone she smirked and said they told her she couldn’t do it. LIE!!! Finally reservations rebooked it in my name and after doing a security deposit she let us check in. We got stuck in elevator briefly and when we got to the room it was aweful. My 15 year old niece wouldn’t even sit down in the room. The phone didn’t work and I know at least 2 other rooms had same issue. The carpet had stuff all over it, lamp shades were broken and torn, towel on tub was stained, large stain on the sheet of one bed, paint slopped all over the place. Over all was just horrible. We immediately booked a room at SpringHill Suites. When we went to check out less than an hour after the hour ordeal of checking in and no one was at desk. My mom rang buzzer several times and when front desk gal returned she started yelling at us for ringing it more than once as she was in bathroom. My deposit should have been put back on my credit card thanksgiving day after 11am. 5 days later it still hasn’t been refunded. I will never stay at a days inn again because of this. Not only because of how disgusting the room was but also because how rudely we were treated. It was very obvious that the owners and staff couldn’t care less about the property or the guests. There is no way I would have slept on that bed, showered and sure wouldn’t eat breakfast there. Amazing that they made the effort in the lobby but absolutely none anywhere else. No pride at all

I booked a room, dinner, valet parking, and a spa treatment as a gift for a friend. She really enjoyed the hotel. She loved her massage at the spa, and she said dinner at Whiskey & Rye was good. I’m glad she enjoyed her stay so I definitely feel like it was worth it, but this is my first time dealing with a luxury hotel and I’m a bit surprised that everything seemed so difficult. For starters, I booked the room online. I called to confirm I’d done so correctly because it was a gift and I didn’t want any problems. Initially, I was told the room needed to be in my name and that my friend could be listed as an extra person in the room. I was told that the manager would email me a credit card authorization form and that I’d need to fill it out and fax it back by a certain date. I never received a form so I called back. I was told that the room needed to be in my friend’s name and that I’d be emailed the authorization and I could email it back when I filled it out. I got an authorization link but it wasn’t a form I was meant to fill out, it was just for prepayment but it was listed for $0. I called back again and asked to talk to a manager just to make sure there wouldn’t be any issues. He set me up with everything and said he’d email the authorization. It never came through so I had to call back. Eventually, I got the proper authorization link and prepaid. My friend had no issues with her stay. One thing I found annoying was that I prepaid for a 50-minute massage at the spa. I also paid for a $50 activity credit for dinner. I noticed I was overcharged and my friend said her card was charged as well despite the manager assuring me they just needed her card on file, that I’d be the only one with charges for the accommodations, taxes, and incidentals. Again, I had to call several times and ended up never being able to speak to who I needed to. I emailed corporate and I got connected to who I needed to, but it’s a process and each email reply takes 24-48 hours. I was told that the massage actually costs $50 more than the credit I’d paid for, which seems misleading. I’m not sure why they wouldn’t attach a monetary value to the spa credit instead of advertising it as a fully paid 50 minute massage. Because of that, the credit I’d purchased to cover dinner was applied to the spa treatment, which meant I’d paid $52 for dinner out of incidentals. It’s not a huge issue, but it just feels misleading. The charge on my friend’s card also fell off and I was told that someone should’ve explained she’d have a hold placed on that card in the event of damages. No one did, and I would’ve paid more toward the room and incidentals initially if I’d known that. I’m really glad my friend enjoyed her stay but I don’t know if I’d feel inclined to book here again in the future. The added packages seem more like a headache than just paying for stuff outright. Overall, I wish things were communicated more clearly because it was a confusing process and not something I re
