I booked a room, dinner, valet parking, and a spa treatment as a gift for a friend. She really enjoyed the hotel. She loved her massage at the spa, and she said dinner at Whiskey & Rye was good. I’m glad she enjoyed her stay so I definitely feel like it was worth it, but this is my first time dealing with a luxury hotel and I’m a bit surprised that everything seemed so difficult. For starters, I booked the room online. I called to confirm I’d done so correctly because it was a gift and I didn’t want any problems. Initially, I was told the room needed to be in my name and that my friend could be listed as an extra person in the room. I was told that the manager would email me a credit card authorization form and that I’d need to fill it out and fax it back by a certain date. I never received a form so I called back. I was told that the room needed to be in my friend’s name and that I’d be emailed the authorization and I could email it back when I filled it out. I got an authorization link but it wasn’t a form I was meant to fill out, it was just for prepayment but it was listed for $0. I called back again and asked to talk to a manager just to make sure there wouldn’t be any issues. He set me up with everything and said he’d email the authorization. It never came through so I had to call back. Eventually, I got the proper authorization link and prepaid. My friend had no issues with her stay. One thing I found annoying was that I prepaid for a 50-minute massage at the spa. I also paid for a $50 activity credit for dinner. I noticed I was overcharged and my friend said her card was charged as well despite the manager assuring me they just needed her card on file, that I’d be the only one with charges for the accommodations, taxes, and incidentals. Again, I had to call several times and ended up never being able to speak to who I needed to. I emailed corporate and I got connected to who I needed to, but it’s a process and each email reply takes 24-48 hours. I was told that the massage actually costs $50 more than the credit I’d paid for, which seems misleading. I’m not sure why they wouldn’t attach a monetary value to the spa credit instead of advertising it as a fully paid 50 minute massage. Because of that, the credit I’d purchased to cover dinner was applied to the spa treatment, which meant I’d paid $52 for dinner out of incidentals. It’s not a huge issue, but it just feels misleading. The charge on my friend’s card also fell off and I was told that someone should’ve explained she’d have a hold placed on that card in the event of damages. No one did, and I would’ve paid more toward the room and incidentals initially if I’d known that. I’m really glad my friend enjoyed her stay but I don’t know if I’d feel inclined to book here again in the future. The added packages seem more like a headache than just paying for stuff outright. I didn't meet a single staff member that wasn't a treat. I was staying here for my second week from Japan, Bruce among other was not only extremely helpful and professional but him, amongst others were some of the most nicest and accommodating staff that I have ever had the pleasure of encountering. After a week of international travel the staff was an absolute delight. This is the place to stay if you're in Dallas. We held two separate rooms for this trip and both are nice and spacious with a lovely atmosphere. This location, along with its staff are a hard recommend and this is coming from someone that is used to 5 star hotels in Japan. Cannot wait to visit Dallas again

Very clean and the room was very comfortable. Good service and good location. Next time you come, you must choose this hotel

Unfortunately we would have loved our stay near sun dance square but I had a thousand dollars on my card and this hotel instead of taking 174 for the room took 450 plus 380 plus the room charge of 174 be careful handing a card over for so called incidentals

On what was becoming an incredibly horrible day became absolutely fantastic, because of my husband and I stumbling upon the TownPlace Suites. We were having an awful time with our prior reservations at a different hotel, and needed a different hotel right away for that night. We were running out of places that were open, when we did find one the hotel desk was so rude I walked out before even checking in. We came across TownPlace suites and from the moment we walked in we knew it was the right choice. We were greeted by Katina Pesina who was extremely friendly and without even knowing the day we were having greeted us as if we were he only guests. We were only supposed to stay one night, but because of how amazing the staff and how clean our room was and the fact that we finally felt relaxed we ended up staying two nights. I would go back here in a heartbeat anytime being in Fort Worth. All the staff was amazing, Katina the Asst GM bent over backwards for us and everyone that walked through the doors, not to mention her and the other staff were so much fun to chat with every time we walked by. I want to thank them from the bottom of my heart for making out stay end up being amazing.

The Motel 6 Ft Worth Downtown East is pretty basic. Looks dodgy from the outside but it felt secure otherwise. Definitely a place where people stay long terms. Walls are thin, so expect noise. I booked via Hotwire and my assigned room had a view of the parking lot. Floor was damp when I walked in and room smelled musty. Assume that was heat and humidity related but still odd. Bed comfortable enough so I slept well. Room furniture was neither new nor old but looked cheap/worn/chipping. ”Desk” bolted to the wall. Room had a fridge and microwave. No bathroom toiletries. Location ok if you have a car or Uber/Lyft since nothing is within walking distance. No real hotel amenities. Honestly, if you have some funds to spare, stay at a better chain.
