This was the second boutique B&B we chose for our Hunan trip, and according to my friend, it's considered the best in Fenghuang Ancient Town. Actually, before choosing this hotel, I was quite conflicted because there were two options. One focused on the view, offering a first-class river view right outside the window, while the other prioritized comfort, including both soft and hard amenities. Ultimately, I narrowed it down to two places: one with the amazing view but noticeably inferior hardware, software, and service, and the other being Tangshe. I finally went with Tangshe because a view always requires movement; no matter how beautiful a window frame is, it's not as good as stepping directly into the scenery. Let me share my thoughts and evaluation of Tangshe. **Environment:** To be honest, Tangshe's location isn't top-tier. The most beautiful part of Fenghuang Ancient Town is undoubtedly along the Tuojiang River, while Tangshe is closer to the town's center. The advantage, however, is that it's much quieter compared to the hustle and bustle along the river. For guests who prefer a peaceful retreat away from the crowds, Tangshe is a better choice. Considering everything, I gave it 4.5 points. **Service:** This deserves a huge thumbs up! Although most of the hotel staff are young, they are all very enthusiastic and polite. The hotel even has two dedicated butlers: one to answer and solve questions about accommodation and travel, and another for food and entertainment. Both were very responsible, and their responses were incredibly prompt and active. What deserves the most praise is the hotel's free laundry service (wash + dry), which was completed in as little as four hours – a huge convenience for travelers in summer. In short, the hotel's service (substantive, not just superficial) far surpasses many five-star hotels! **Hygiene:** The hotel's hygiene is excellent. Both the rooms and public areas are kept to a very high standard of cleanliness. The only thing that needs improvement is the hotel's unique infinity pool. Perhaps because fewer guests use it, the cleaning and maintenance weren't as good. However, after bringing this to the hotel's attention, they took it very seriously and rectified the issue immediately, which is commendable. **Facilities:** The hotel boasts an infinity pool, which is quite rare in the ancient town outside of large five-star hotels. It's valuable for both photo ops and actual use (very practical in summer). Additionally, there's a small garden and a bar on the rooftop. The small garden has many succulents, making it a great spot for photos, while the bar is perfect for enjoying a drink with music in the evening and savoring a 'cup of life'. **In summary:** For guests who prefer a quiet environment, and have high expectations for hardware and service, this hotel is highly recommended as a top choice.

My kids had such a blast at the hotel, they didn't want to leave! There was always an auntie by the pool ensuring the children's safety while they swam, which was a really thoughtful touch. We were quite satisfied with the hotel's environment, facilities, and breakfast. The walk to Tuojiang River was totally acceptable, less than 5 minutes. The butler service was excellent, and the hotel itself was very accommodating; we could discuss things with the butler. Overall, my family was very happy. I'd definitely choose this hotel again next time I'm in Fenghuang.

This hotel is located right inside Fenghuang Ancient Town, very close to the museum and Shen Congwen's Former Residence. It's super convenient for boat tours and dining. Plus, it has its own parking lot with EV charging, which is a huge plus!

This isn't a huge hotel, with only about 50 rooms, but the design is absolutely stunning, and you can tell by the details that a lot of thought went into the decor. The fourth-floor terrace offers views of the ancient city, and the infinity pool, lit up at night, perfectly complements the old town, making for some truly fantastic photos. The service here is truly exceptional; you don't have to lift a finger for anything. Once you arrive, you're added to a small group chat where staff can help you book tickets, arrange car rentals, and essentially fulfill all your travel needs. One minor point for improvement: during cleaning, the mirror behind the door might get obscured when the door is open, so it occasionally gets missed during wiping. This could be improved upon.

Great location, excellent service. The rooftop pool and bistro are super Instagrammable. The rooms are quite spacious, and they even have family-friendly rooms, perfect for holidays with kids. Plenty of dining options nearby too. Overall, very good!

This hotel is excellent! Parking is a breeze, the room facilities are brand new, and the hygiene is top-notch. The large in-room pool is fantastic; it fills and drains incredibly fast. They offer free laundry and drying service – they took care of all my clothes, no matter how many, which I really appreciate. Breakfast, afternoon tea, and evening sweet soup are all provided and delicious – very thoughtful! The service, however, is the real highlight. I'm genuinely touched by how every single staff member is so warm, patient, and meticulous. Wherever I encountered staff at this hotel, whether young or older, from the front desk to the restaurant or the pool bar, male or female, they were all incredibly proactive and helpful. No request felt like a bother to them. When my food delivery arrived, the front desk would bring it to my room; every time, they were already knocking on my door just as I saw the delivery notification. And the ladies at breakfast who made the wontons – they were delicious! When I complimented them, they immediately offered to make me another bowl, freshly wrapped. The guys at the pool bar were also incredibly attentive, happily serving us afternoon tea and drinks without any fuss. All in all, my stay was joyful, reassuring, and heartwarming. I've already recommended this place to my friends visiting Fenghuang Ancient Town.

The hotel's decor is very stylish and clean, with thoughtful details everywhere showcasing a high level of management. The service is meticulous without being intrusive. Overall, the hotel demonstrates a very high standard across all aspects, making for a great stay.

This hotel in Fenghuang left the deepest impression on me. For this price, such excellent service is truly rare; they were incredibly responsive and attentive to every request. My only minor regret is that the room was a bit small, but overall, it's still fantastic. Highly recommend with five stars!
