Comfort Suites Knoxville West - Farragut

We decided to stay at the Comfort Inn, while on a road trip to Gatlinburg, TN. Before we decided to drive to the hotel, we viewed the online pictures and read the ratings which seemed good. I thought it was a bit nicer of a hotel for the cost. My husband is a disabled vet and has a service animal. Apparently this hotel is not pet friendly and are not aware of the ADA Policies. Initially, the receptionist said the hotel does not accommodate (service) animals. My husband let her know it was illegal and they are looking to get sued if that’s the case. The lady then said, she didn’t realize we had a service animal, she then asked my husband a couple of questions and finally checked us in. Unfortunately our room had a poor layout and was awkward, the entryway had a long hallway and a very small sleeping quarter. I noticed the carpet was stained throughout the hotel. We could also hear a father raising his voice at his child before we went to sleep. Overall, we slept well.

Your property and your employees met or exceeded my expectations. I am a satisfied customer who will gladly recommend you to my friends. Specifically, the room was very clean and well kept; the front desk manager was polite and professional. My only complaint is the difficulty encountered in completing my evaluation of your service. I will not be completing this survey in my future stays.

I think the hotel has aged very well. I asked my counterpart traveling with me and he thought - ehhh - it's a Fairfield. But I think it's still nice - even years later. Sure, wallpaper is falling off, walls are marked - but just the color palate is happy and it's very clean. And unlike what seems like the rest of the Fairfields, their breakfast is back to normal. Two issues - one - road noise - need to remember to ask (at any Knoxville hotel) to not face the freeway. Usually my status automatically gets that. Two - a car alarm went off for like 15 mins - but not sure what they could do to stop that - but then with the road noise I couldn't sleep. It's a winner of a hotel for sure.
