The hotel is the first hotel recommended by the famous Ettlingen Piano Competition Organizing Committee, because it is very close to the organizer. But this hotel does not have air-conditioned rooms in the nearby hotels. We booked 6 nights on Ctrip because we didn't know it; when we checked in, we were informed that there was construction nearby and we couldn't rest. Couldn't sleep that night because of the heat. Because of the competition, we had to change hotels. In desperation, I chose to leave the store early. Engel Hotel refused to negotiate, and directly charged us 90% of the room rate for the next 5 nights. Is there any reason for the hotel? Europe has encountered such a long period of high temperature weather, so the 620 RMB per night hotel did not do anything in terms of luxury room equipment. Besides, I checked every night because the location of the hotel is better, and they have refunded the 5-night room we refunded to the hotel. It was successfully sold at a high price. Is there such a heartless hotel party? ? ? Still not negotiating? The hotel price we set can be checked out in time at 5 o'clock in the morning on the same day. Even if there is any problem, it will only affect the sales on the night of the 6th. Why does the hotel deduct the customer's 3,000 yuan together? The hotel did not provide service. There was no air conditioning after check-in that day, but there was a lot of noise. The hotel thought it had nothing to do with them. Also unapologetic! Where is the service in this hotel?

Great location in the super-charming center of Ettlingen, was there 3 times. 1x in the main house, 2x in the annex building. That was the last time. First of all: please look at my profile, I don't tend to give bad reviews and I travel quite a lot - in Germany and worldwide. OK - Conclusion: Condescending, super arrogant check in on June 13th. around 6:30 p.m. No go. Mega tight parking garage, but you can live with that. Rip-off in the next building! The management will answer (or not) that I chose the cheapest room and that they are making "improvements". But: the room is worth 70 EUR, not 112 paid ;-) The rooms there are "youth hostel standard", "seniors' home" also fits. I don't know why I did this to myself for the second time. My mistake, clearly, I didn't see any reference to "outbuilding" on the homepage or I overlooked it. Industrial carpet and 80s design, no refrigerator, shower in the bathtub (oh dear), no body lotion etc., shaving mirror not available; The house and the corridors are very uncharming, the elevator is a disaster (hospital-like), no feel-good factor for at least 112 EUR per night for a single room without breakfast. That's just too expensive. In addition, there is still (June 2023) a Covid mask notice in the breakfast room: “You are welcome to wear a mask”. I brought this up at reception because I have my opinion on this matter. Answer: we “have to” do that. Which is actually not true. The receptionists then argued around instead of saying that it was their property right. That would have been the end of it for me, instead I would have been bossy and fussed over. Very bad briefing. Apparently the management of this hotel is extremely Covid-savvy, even during the time of the government-mandated Covid measures I wasn't even allowed to get a café here while wearing a mask - as the only guest in the empty breakfast room. Ridiculously German. I definitely won't be coming back and recommend to anyone who is still interested to make sure they don't have to go to the terrible annex - for this price.

neat hotel in the center. The welcome by a lady was extremely cool, also at the settlement. Shame in this industry. The breakfast was subpar. Too little bread. Several guests wait after asking where the bread is. Basic error. Several unlabeled jars so we didn't know if this was jam. So we had hardly eaten anything that morning. We were probably a little too much in the holiday mood. But neat room in cozy city.
