Hotels near birthplace of Johann de Kalb in Erlangen

The hotel is new, close to the railway station and in walkable distance to downtown Erlangen. It provides the standard experience of any recent addition to the Holiday Inn Express chain (good & bad). Cleanliness could be improved. Not sure, if it was a start-up problem, but my bathroom was not cleaned between opened door and wall. That spot is often missed, but in this case there was still dust from construction. Overall value was great with breakfast included, a great rate due to advanced booking and everything nearby. I would stay again.

For those who booked for a friend, the location is more suitable for people who drive, just at the high-speed exit. There are big supermarkets around. The decoration of the hotel is very new and the price is also very suitable. It is really cost-effective in the expensive Erlangen.

Wonderful hotel with some minor issues. The staff is very friendly and efficient. Breakfast is quite decent. It’s a little annoying to decorate a room with a blinding neon sign on the wall and the need to constantly re-login to the Internet several times a day. Some distance from the city center is only a plus - on weekends it is very quiet there. Very close there are grocery stores, DM, Burger King, another burger place and a pizzeria.

Incredibly beautiful and quiet hotel in Erlangen. The castle room is the absolute paradise for children and the roof terrace is a real highlight! The room and bath were really clean without a snack! The staff is very premature, friendly and always and everywhere accessible. The breakfast buffet was really recommendable. Fresh bread, great bread and a always beautiful and freshly filled out of sauce and cheese. Marmelades, honey, juices and various yoghurts were also offered. Coffee, tea and cocoa were perfectly and quickly provided by the staff at the table. The hygiene concept that is visible to the guest has really convinced us! We will come back anyway! The hotel is fairly new and near the train station(both u bahn and regular trains). It is also near the old city where there are many dining options. Nothing really there to complain about.

Visiting customers on business trips, close to customers, hotel environment is OK, breakfast is very rich. . . The price booked in advance is more affordable, and the price set temporarily for the second business trip is much higher. I don't know if it is the reason for the special time. . .

Unfortunately, I can't find much positive at this accommodation option. On the one hand, the entrance area is relatively dirty, despite dry weather. Unfortunately, the rooms are not as large as described on booking. I booked a room with 25qm and the room I got has 3mx3m and even if I add the mini-kitchen I never get to 25qm, which is shown for the comfort room in the description. When I called, a nice lady said there is only this room size in the category. Unfortunately, the cleanness was left to wish, the mini kitchen floor still lay the crems of the predecessor, the wall and the floor of the bath were still tooth pastarest and the rest of a shower gel pack from the predecessor. Unfortunately, I noticed only the evening before the departure that the electrical rollo did not go from the balcony window. All in all a pretty experience that does not require replay.

The hotel was modern and breakfast was very delicious, because there is something for everyone - especially the coffee selection was really super. We were honestly expecting more from the service itself, because the ”reception” at the reception has disappointed me as we indicated extra early trips at the booking, but this was as a surprise on the site. But maybe the staff*in had just a bad day - that can happen :-) The rooms have been good, the TV could be closer to bed for my taste and not at the other end of the room, but that is just one Smallness. And also in the bathroom/WC the division was a little strange, as well as no depot area for face cream and Co. were. In general, it was a good stay and for a city trip the hotel is recommended in all cases, The metro is only a few minutes walk.
