It was awesome!! It it the best place to stay with family and has a good sea-view!

Fantastic stay! Highly recommend. My partner and I stayed for a night. Arrived rather late and the staff were still up waiting for us. Acknowledged us by name and showed us up to our sea-facing room. Clean, well furnished, minimalist modern and spacious feel. Woke up to a fantastic unblocked sea view in our large window. Breakfast was available to all in the kitchen/ pantry from 7.30-10 with a more than decadent spread of your staples, hot fresh brewed tea and coffee. Minor drawback was the slightly longer walking distance from the city (about 15mins), no toothbrush available, and had I not read up online ahead of time, I’d never be able to find the place as there is (as many others have also mentioned) no clear sign that says “The Halcyon”. So to anyone to follow in our steps, this is honestly a beautiful place to stay. Excellent value for money away from the noise of the town centre, wonderful hospitable staff for a lovely guest experience, delightful & scrumptious brekkie, cosy and clean modernistic rooms & gorgeous views to wake up to. No hassle checking in or out. Just be mindful to look out for the big words that says “HOTEL” and you’re very likely at the right spot. (Checkout photos 1&2) Walk in without fear and be greeted by warm smiles and a fantastic experience all around.

Staff friendly and helpful,room clean and basic needs, definitely sea view and not too far from town centre brisk 10 minutes walk but out weights the problems of being in a central location,

Great location, right by the beach. Could see the sunrise from our bed in through the window of the hotel room. Lee was very helpful and a very interesting guy to talk to. Would definitely come back here.

Very nice trip!

Beautiful sunrise from the window overlooking the beach. They are rooms with a bathroom included, everything is spotless and very well cared for. The staff is very nice and the facilities are super new and very comfortable. They clean every two days but they always ask you if you need to change the towels or replenish the water or shampoo. The decoration is very nice and simple, with modern paintings and new furniture. The beds are very comfortable. Breakfast is included with a nice dining room with views of the sea as well and with wonderful staff who make sure you are comfortable. In addition to juice, coffee and tea, there are several dining options. Boiled eggs, fruit, yogurt, oa**eal or salty with tomato, ham and cheese. We came in winter and the beach vacation vibes were already felt, we will definitely repeat when it is warmer. Q

Don't often leave reviews but I feel this one is a must The man on the front desk was as kind and as friendly as anyone I've met when walking into a hotel, the breakfast is above basic and the lady who organises it all couldn't do anymore for me if she tried For a small hotel this came above all expectations the room was a standard size decent view, crazy comfortable bed 2 yes 2 pillows and free WiFi and smart tv viewing Would highly recommend so much so I booked a second night the moment I woke up Well done guys 👍

Such a well presented hotel situated in a beautiful part of Eastbourne. Our room had amazing sea views and Simon and Michael were so helpful sorting things out for us at such late notice. I would definitely recommend to everyone. 10/10.

Great! Clean and comfy. Although, it’s quite noisy with other guests coming in and out.

Great location right by the seafront. Rooms very clean with comfortable beds. Staff very friendly and welcoming. Really nice continental breakfast, and plenty of choice. Ideally placed for the Theatre which was just a short walk away.
