Premier Inn Glasgow East Kilbride Central

Hotel needs a complete refurbishment from top to bottom including paint, carpets, bedding and curtains.

I stay here regularly and it is always clean, large comfortable rooms. Friendly staff. I usually recommend this premier inn but this time there was a problem with the breakfast and with not being able to give each guest in the party a key. We were visiting family so were leaving and returning at different times. I did not like the idea of asking staff to let me into my room late at night.

I was very disappointed the crooked lum is now closed and only open to residents. The bar area was neglected for a very long time, so it was inevitable it would close at some point. Non residents turned away at breakfast was so sad to see.

Stayed here to visit family in East Kilbride and Glasgow. The hotel was clean and tidy, the room was immaculate. The staff went above and beyond to help and assist us. The pub next door which is now only for premier inn customers was also great, the evening meal and breakfast were both lovely and great value. The staff in the pub were friendly and again went above and beyond the ensure we had everything we needed. We will definitely stop here next time we’re visiting family.

Our party required a family room and a twin room. So the party was split over 2 floors, with the elderly party having to climb stairs with her stick. Our family room had no sound proofing from the hall or the bedrooms around us, to the point were we were answering the questions people were asking in there own rooms. Children were running, jumping and shouting at all hours, I can understand that they are children and it’s the parents at fault for not stopping that behaviour. I did when my children were young. Hotel needs extra sound proofing. On top of this the extractor fan did not switch off itself, and when we asked in reception they told us to switch it off in the bedroom.

Plenty of parking for vans and was greeted by foxes! Super brave and it’s because the hotel staff feed them. Evening meal was good and the restaurant is only open for hotel guests. However, Breakfast was the worst ever and got refunded. Stayed for 5x nights and the first day was a long wait for it to come and was ok. Second day the fried eggs were hard and the bacon looked like it had plastic cross pattern all over it so no idea how they cooked it. Third day the bacon wasn’t cooked properly and the fourth day the sausages weren’t cooked at all and I asked for poached eggs as the eggs had been terrible and the chef said he couldn’t do poached eggs. Absolutely awful and turns out we weren’t the only ones to complain. But I do want to say a special mention to one of the best members of staff I’ve ever met at a reception for Premier Inn, Gavin, bloody amazing!! Very welcoming, went above and beyond, courteous, friendly and just a super star staff member. A role model to any member of Premier Inn staff.

My wife and I have stayed at this hotel several times when we are visiting Glasgow. The staff on reception are always very friendly. The rooms are large and clean. We have never been disturbed by noises from other guests at night. The hotel is located close to the M74 and to Glasgow. The hotel and parking are secure. Evening meals and breakfasts at the Crooked Lum pub next door are very good and the service is also good. On our recent visit, I had one of the best cooked breakfasts ever!

No staff available to take breakfast orders so felt ripped off for the £22 spent on breakfasts. I wouldn’t go back.

Here for 2 nights Saturday 2nd and Sunday 3rd visiting granddaughter. No complaints first night or at breakfast the Saturday morning then it went downhill, spent a full on day with the granddaughter got back to to hotel at 2000 hrs to find the bar and restaurant were shut for that night and the following day after breakfast service. We were advised though that we could order food in from the usual suspects and if we wanted to walk over to the shopping centre Nandos would still be open if we got a move on !!!! Reason, no staff available !! Asked why we were not told there was a staff shortage, that would shut the pub for two days when we booked the room, response "I can only apologise" which was accepted from the person concerned but the Premier Inn Regional Management want to have a good look at themselves because it stinks of deceit. We regularly use this outlet but no more... other more reliable outlets in Eadt Kilbride.
