Romantic Hotels in Dunhuang

I have travelled a lot in China the last 5 years. This is probably one of the best hotels I have been. Clean, comfortable, close to everything, very nice staff. Have everything you need in the room. They leave you presents in the room, have all the free drinking water you need, free apples, just excellent welcome feeling. They go as far as pointing the shower head to the side everytime they clean the room so you don't get wet when you turn on the shower. More expensive and luxurios hotels have a lot to learn from these guys. Just excellent.

You won’t regret staying here. In summary it’s a very nice hotel (quite large actually) that is perfectly located (about 1km walking from the sand dunes (Mingsha mountain and Creacent Moon spring area). Staff is extremely friendly and helpful and the architecture is also really nice. The views from the roof top terrace (breakfast/ coffee spot) are amazing and the breakfast itself is also quite good. The downside that’s also to mention: Price wise it’s a bit expensive especially during holiday season. Rooms are a bit old and you can hear everyone passing by.

The service was exceedingly good at ZhongZhou hotel. I stayed with my wife and had a second room for my daughter and son in law. The lobby always had someone to open doors/press the elevator button for guests. What really stood out to me was the attitude of the workers. Breakfast typically starts at 7, when I mentioned I had to leave at 6:15, the worker at the restaurant told me to come early, and she would have it ready for me. Unfortunately no fitness center but the laundry room was a plus. There were also plenty of washing machines (no dryers). This hotel truly felt like a second home. The rooms and beds were also comfortable and clean. A fantastic stay overall, would definitely stay here again.

The hotel is an old hotel, clean and hygienic, with thoughtful service. Because we arrived on New Year's Eve, we upgraded the room type. Xiao Du at the front desk was very nice, and reminded us that there might be no restaurants open for dining during the New Year. Coming from the south, I felt it was too dry, so I added a humidifier. The bathroom is fully equipped, including intimate equipment such as anti-slip mats, clean and tidy, and people can use it with confidence. In addition, the hotel also provides free bottled drinking water, coffee machines, coffee cups and other convenient facilities, so that I can relax at any time after a busy day. The quality of the hotel staff is generally high. Whether it is the lobby front desk or the room cleaning staff, they always smile and provide meticulous service. Especially during my stay, the cleaning staff was very careful and gentle when cleaning the room, trying to minimize the interference to me. This meticulous care makes people feel at home. 10點到，剛好也有房間退了收拾出來給提前辦了入住。服務很好，位置也方便，離敦煌書局很近，夜市走路10分鐘，打車也方便，6塊錢，打車去鳴沙山12塊錢15分鐘，酒店前面一家早餐店肉夾饃超好吃。走的時候想買瓶當地飲料，老闆是自己喝的好心送了一瓶，整體來説體驗感很好

Metropark is a nice hotel located near a river and is relatively central to the city. A lovely staff member, 李雪 (Li Xue) helped me check in and she took me to my hotel room. She was extremely helpful and friendly. The hotel room is very spacious, clean and quite luxurious. The hotel is within walking distance to the night market and the museum. Highly recommended. 这是一家不错的酒店，位于河边，相对靠近市中心。一位可爱的工作人员李雪帮我办理了入住手续，并带我去了酒店房间。她非常乐于助人，非常友好。 酒店房间非常宽敞、干净，相当豪华。从酒店步行即可到达夜市和博物馆。 强烈推荐。

In front of the hotel is the Dang River, which is convenient for viewing the night view. It is also not far from Dunhuang Bookstore and can be reached on foot. The hotel also provides airport pick-up and drop-off services. We made an appointment for the airport drop-off service when we left the hotel. At the appointed time, Master Liang was already waiting for us in the lobby and helped put the luggage on the car. The service was considerate and enthusiastic, which made us feel happy.

Accommodation in Dunhuang is relatively cheap in the off-season, and the service is also relatively good. The hotel is not far from Mingsha Mountain and is also relatively close to the Dunhuang Night Market. This hotel has airport pick-up service, which is very good. I booked it for one day and directly renewed it for 2 days. The hotel is clean and hygienic, so I won't say much about it. The bed is very comfortable, the bathroom is separated into dry and wet areas, the toilet is electric, and the breakfast is very rich and superb.

The room is very big. It may be because of the off-season, so the price is very cheap. The hotel service attitude is very good. There is a travel agency downstairs, Chenguang Travel. In fact, it is cheaper to sign up for a group tour in the local area than to order online, and you can also get free accommodation in this hotel. But if you take the western route, that is, to Yangguan and Yumenguan, you can walk around Yangguan in the morning. You are required to come out at 12 o'clock. If you don't plan to eat, there is no need to come out, because the one-day tour group will also leave 1 hour for lunch at noon. Everyone must pay attention to this. The driver will take the passengers to a restaurant near Yangguan for dinner, all at their own expense, so if you don't want to eat, just tell them in advance and you can have a good look around Yangguan. Other aspects of the hotel are very satisfactory. Sometimes I don't drink water, and the waiter still puts two bottles for me every day. Very warm.
