This is a hotel with character and charm. We stayed here as a couple for two nights and shared a beautiful room with a sparkling clean en-suite. The room had a classic old-fashioned fire place (non-working) and the fine touches that you associate with Georgian or Victorian manor houses. The hosts were welcoming and went out of their way to accommodate our requests. There are only a few rooms so you have the feel of staying in a wing of a private home. If we return to Dunedin we are definitely staying here. Great value, great location and great ambience.

When we decided to spend another night as he sold the city to us so well and we knew the city motels were full due to a concert he sent a message round and worked to find us another nights stay in another motel... wonderful. At this time of living, the hotel has no air conditioning, hot to burst, the room must open the door, do not open the steamer sultry... it will be better to open... the balcony is facing the garden, the garden is chasing and playing, listening and listening is clear, the balcony at night The relationship with the door open, the curtains can not be pulled, the wind can not enter, there are fear that the insects fly in, the hot heads are sleeping on the balcony... Absolutley the best place I've stayed at over the years. The room was modern, super clean and everything was provided. The bed was great and I had a fantastic sleep. The owners were very friendly and helpful and the cost was very reasonable too. The family rooms were booked out for my next Dunedin trip, but it will always be my first choice when staying in Dunedin now. Awesome!!

I came down from Christchurch to visit family and was extremely pleased with my stay at Alhambra Oaks. A very positive experience overall thanks to the lovely Carolyn, who is always available for anything needed. The customer service was very good and friendly. The rooms were spacious and clean and tidy, much better than other motels I’ve stayed at in Dunedin. The location of the motel is also perfect as it is nearby to practically everything in the city. Plenty of parking in the car park. Also have a night and day within walking distance 😁Don’t have a bad word to say!! Will definitely be coming back here again! Highly recommend for anyone looking to stay in Dunedin.

Every one who is reading this review im putting a bad feedback about this motel,i had made a booking with them over the phone,but its always best to get that confirmation email which i never through to asks for,i was going to stay there for nearly a week,then i had to cut it back to two nights i had to be in invercargill had something important on,i was chatting to some lady on the phone an had told me it was booked,when i arrive there on Monday 15th Nov 21,some lady there did not know to what i was talking bout,so my family an i ended up heading back home,i got a txt that night saying the key was under the mat,i told this lady i already been an gone,she tried to tell me i went to the wrong motel an i never did i had checked the sign,an her cell no came up with the motel name,she had lied to me,not the best motel to stay at

The environment is okay, there are two beds in the room, but I don’t know why the fire alarm rang twice in the morning, disturbing my dreams, and there is a big spider in the toilet. There is no fence here, so I can only stop by the shower curtain. It’s easy Wet the bathroom, brought a baby, and charged an extra 50 dollars, which is more than 1,000. The price is not high

Excellent hospitality! The motel has a good location, it is very clean and tidy. The host is so helpful and provides us with some attraction routes, which is more interesting than driving through the highway! And Rocky (Labrador) is soooo cute!
