Reviews for Dubai Hotels

TRYP by Wyndham Dubai

Tecom
A good hotel in a strategic area near the Dubai City metro about 15 minutes by taxi from Dubai marina and Jumeirah beach. The hotel has three good restaurants, two of which are open air. Excellent concierge service, the guys are active and solve any problem. Free shuttle service to a partner beach at a cost of €25 deductible on food and beverages. Breakfast good and plentiful rooms with balcony overlooking Dubai marina excellent. The only drawback of this hotel is the proximity to a mosque therefore wake up every morning at 4 because of the adhān from the mosque's minaret, in order to call Muslims to the obligatory prayers. The pool is very small and by 8 it's already full.

Business Bay
The hotel characterized by its chic ambiance and unique Paramount movie theme, which adds a distinctive touch to the overall guest experience. Notably, one of its standout offerings is the inclusion of a complimentary in-house cinema theater, allowing guests to indulge in cinematic pleasures at their convenience. Moreover, the hotel endeavors to maintain an appealing affordability, offering competitive rates per night that are considered reasonable in relation to the high quality of services and amenities provided. A notable highlight is the substantial breakfast spread, which promises a generous selection of delectable options to start the day on a satisfying note. Additionally, the hotel prides itself on its exemplary service, ensuring that guests receive attentive and efficient assistance throughout their stay.

Bur Dubai
The hotel is small, newly opened, clean and tidy. The breakfast was not very varied, but it was exquisite and delicious. The service was good. There was no change at the museum the next day, and we enthusiastically took us to a nearby shop for the wrong change. Next time I go to this hotel.

More about Dubai

Introduction to Dubai: A Confluence of Traditions and Futurism

Located on the Eastern coast of the Arabian Peninsula, in the south west corner of the Arabian Gulf, Dubai is one of the seven emirates that make up the United Arab Emirates. Known for its opulent architecture, luxury shopping and vibrant nightlife, Dubai offers an irresistible blend of traditional Arabic culture and futuristic innovation. This city is home to the tallest building in the world, the Burj Khalifa, and it boasts an artificial island in the shape of a palm tree, the Palm Jumeirah!

Tips for Travelling to Dubai

Dubai International Airport, one of the busiest airports in the world, serves as the primary gateway to the city. The Dubai Metro, taxis, and ride-hailing services like Uber are commonly used to navigate the city.

Visa policies vary depending on nationality, so travellers are advised to check the UAE embassy website in their respective countries. Credit cards are widely accepted and the official language is Arabic, but English is commonly used, especially in business and by the large expatriate population.

As for traditions, remember that the UAE is a Muslim country and visitors should dress modestly in public. Also, the consumption of alcohol is regulated and is typically only allowed within licensed venues.

Unforgettable Attractions in Dubai

Dubai's iconic skyline is dominated by architectural marvels like the Burj Khalifa, Burj Al Arab and the Palm Jumeirah. Shoppers will find their paradise in the Dubai Mall and the traditional Gold and Spice Souks. For a dose of culture, one can visit the Dubai Museum, Al Fahidi Historic District or the stunning Jumeirah Mosque. The adventurous can explore the vast Arabian Desert on a safari.

Weather in Dubai and the Best Time to Visit

Dubai has a hot desert climate with extremely hot summers (June to September) with temperatures frequently reaching 41°C (105°F), and warm winters (December to March) averaging 24°C (75°F). The most comfortable time to visit is from November to April.

As for clothing, light, breathable fabrics are recommended due to the heat. However, it's also wise to carry a light jacket or shawl, as indoor areas can be heavily air-conditioned.

Selecting the Right Hotel in Dubai

Dubai's hotels are as varied and impressive as its skyline. To stay near main attractions, consider the Armani Hotel inside the Burj Khalifa.

For a food-centric stay, Pierchic offers gourmet dining and is located near various eateries.

For luxury accommodation, the Burj Al Arab is an iconic choice, while budget travellers can consider Rove Downtown, which offers great value.

Business travellers might appreciate the convenient location of Dusit Thani near the business district. Atlantis The Palm offers highly Instagrammable views and interiors. Near the airport, the Dubai International Hotel offers convenient and comfortable lodging.
