Hotels in Dong-gu, Daegu

It was cold because there was no floor heating. There were electric blankets on the beds, but one was broken, so my husband slept without one. The location was convenient as it was inside an amusement park.

It was a very pleasant stay for my friend and I! The hotel and room are nice and clean, bed is big and comfortable for 1 pax, has smart toilet and other amenities. The hotel staffs are very friendly. A small convenience store at the lobby. Requested for good view and it is given. Perfect for quiet and city getaway. Location wise, not very convenient to main shopping district. There's a bus stop right outside the hotel. As long as you know how to navigate around, it is not an issue!

This hotel offers great value for its price. The room was spacious enough for two, and the bathroom was notably large and clean, which I really appreciated. Its location near Dongdaegu Station made it easy to find, and the luggage storage service was a huge plus, allowing us to travel light. The owner and staff were incredibly friendly, and the coffee in the lobby was delicious!

The receptionist didn't speak English but was very polite and tried to communicate. A simple breakfast was provided, and bottled water was unlimited. The soundproofing was slightly poor. It was very clean; the room I booked had a bathtub, bathrobes, and a Korean-style clothes organizer (styler?).

I stayed in room 302. My first impression was that it was spacious, and I liked that the shower and toilet were separated from the bed area. The bathtub was also very large, so I enjoyed a good, long soak for the first time in a while. The window in my room faced another building directly, so it was a bit disappointing not to see the sun when I opened the curtains, but it didn't bother me too much. I would definitely consider staying here again.

The property is clean & feels new. Service staff was helpful. Location is about 10 minutes walk from Dongdaegu Station. To get to the lift, you need to manage some steps which was a bit inconvenient with large suitcases. Business travellers with cabin sized bags will not have an issue. The room was set to heating mode only so we had to sleep with the windows open as it was too warm. Recommend to have the room adjustable to fan mode for respective guest's preference as not everyone like to be in the warm mode.

I stayed for 2 nights. Excellent hotel. Extensive renovations have recently been completed. Pros: • 5-7 minutes from Dong Daegu Station; • Newly renovated; • Bathrobes, slippers, and all necessary toiletries (toothbrush and toothpaste, razor, shampoo, conditioner and shower gel, washcloth, soap); • Hairdryer, refrigerator, and air conditioning in the room; • Free coffee machine and water dispenser in the reception area; • Multi-charger for all types of cords. Cons: • The staff doesn't speak English (but this is minor); • Only small towels; at least one large one would be nice; • Limited storage space - a foldable hanger would be great. The room is small, but for the price, it's a great option. I recommend it.

The surrounding facilities are complete, with an extra-large bathtub. The room is very clean and also has a massage chair, dehumidifying wardrobe, and is very spacious. The bed and pillows are comfortable, and there's a tatami mat.

Close to the amusement park, there are many foods around and close to Dongdaegu Station, but the disadvantage is that the check-in time is late.

As a solo traveler from Hong Kong, I felt this was more of an upscale, newly renovated motel, or even a love hotel. The room amenities were excellent, including a sterilizing wardrobe, bathtub, electric bidet, charging dock, air purifier, sofa, 65-inch smart TV, satellite channels, YouTube, and even a desktop computer. It would have been even more perfect with hand soap at the sink and shower gel/shampoo next to the tub. The staff were also very patient and friendly. Although they didn't speak foreign languages, they handled customer complaints well. I booked this place through Trip.com, but there was no mention of window issues. The pictures seemed to show windows, but the room I was assigned was in the basement with a decorative window that, when opened, only revealed a wall. I requested a room with a scenic window. Despite the language barrier, the staff politely explained that changing rooms would incur an extra charge. In the end, we both compromised and resolved it fairly, and I was moved to a third-floor room with a scenic window. The staff handled the situation perfectly and patiently. I believe the misunderstanding arose because the online listing didn't specify that rooms at this price either had no windows or no view, leading guests to misinterpret the photos. I highly recommend this hotel. The area is very lively at night, with more restaurants than the city center. It's about a 10-15 minute walk to the nearest Dongchon Subway Station, passing through the popular Dongchon Amusement Park tourist attraction. There's also a bicycle rental shop next to the subway station! Very good.
