Condado Palm Inn San Juan, Tapestry Collection by Hilton

Condado|0.55km from Plaza de la Libertad
ust now on Google We stayed in the blue tower and enjoyed a comfortable and clean room with a small balcony facing the beach. However, there were several issues that affected our stay. Upon arrival, we were promised two complimentary bottles of water daily and a voucher for the chocolate bar, which we never received throughout our stay. One major issue was with pool towels. We were told they were stocked outside by the pool, but they were consistently empty. After multiple trips to the front desk and being told towels would be brought out, we waited for 30 minutes EACH TIME with no towels arriving. This forced us to use bath towels when we returned to our room, leaving us without dry towels for showering. The complementary toiletries in the shower (Shampoo, Conditioner, Body Wash) were empty. Although we brought our own toiletries, we love the scents that Hilton Hotels use and would have liked to have been able to utilize them but given the lack of customer service with towels we didn’t bother asking them to refill them for our stay. Our second night we found two roaches, while we're familiar with encountering roaches and bugs as we also live in a tropical climate, it was still unsettling to find them in the room given the final price of our stay. We also experienced a false fire alarm during our stay. We were on the 11th floor and had to walk down 11 flights of stairs, only to find out at the front desk that they had no information on why the alarm had gone off, causing a lot of confusion. Communication with the front desk was generally poor. When we called multiple times for towels and received no answer, it took over 10 minutes of the phone ringing to finally get through. Even then, after being promised towels would be sent up, we waited another 30 minutes for them to arrive and had to call the front desk and additional 3 times before they actually arrived. After returning home, we discovered unexpected charges on our bill without any breakdown or explanation. When we called the hotel to request a receipt, we were transferred to reservations and left waiting for 57 mins before the call was ended. We have called back and are currently waiting for someone to answer the phone. If you are thinking of staying at this Hotel please keep in mind that there is a $45 + an additional $5 tax resort fee per day and while there is designated parking it is hard to find, a very small lot and not included in your stay with an additional charge of $25 per day. When booking a “Beach View” room keep in mind that this Hotel is not located ON the beach, but one street over. There is alot of construction that blocks your view of the beach. Overall, the hotel had potential for a good stay, but the lack of proactive staff, poor communication, and unfulfilled promises made our experience less enjoyable. Only the housekeeping staff stood out for their helpfulness. For the total price of our stay we could have just stayed at our Airbnb, La Casita Negra which was AMAZING

Ctrip is also enough. Originally, I had already set a room on Booking. I saw that Ctrip was a lot cheaper, and I retired the Booking. However, the so-called sea view room that was given to the store through Ctrip is a room in a room, and the TV wall of the other room is the bedside of our room. The TV and other sounds in the next room are clearly heard, which seriously affects sleep. The next day, I can only change the room. It is not the balcony room with sea view. I had tossed for a long time before and after changing rooms, and I was still in a bad mood. At the same time, the check-out also received a 142 knife ”Hotel Tax”. This tax order is not available, can you return it?
The Tryst Beachfront Hotel

Just got back from 3 nights (7/1 - 7/4) at The Tryst. Overall, a great stay at this hotel. It's a boutique hotel located in the middle of Condado beach, and right on the beach. The location can't be beat. Was traveling solo so I got a smaller room not facing the beach, but I did catch a glimpse into an ocean facing room and it looked pretty great. Comfortable bed, AC was as cold as I needed, and working Wifi and tv. I will say the hot water was lacking for my stay, BUT I did not notify management, so it wasnt something that was as big of a deal. The main attraction is that there are free towels, beach chairs, and umbrellas for use for people staying at the hotel. The Wicked Lily is the only public beachfront bar/restaurant in Condado and made pretty good cocktails and had good views. It is a restaurant though, so you can't bring your own drinks to hang out there. Staff was nice, they were constantly cleaning, and I would stay here again. For the price, it's probably the best value you can get if you want to be beachfront. Look forward to the upgrades coming in the next few years (pool, decks, etc.).

Rooms were ok… nothing out of the extraordinary but it had a weird smell to it. The location is nice, it’s near condado area almost everything walking distance. AWFUL service. Since we came in we had problems to check-in and confirmed our reservation had the late check-out at 1pm since it was included. We had Late Check-out included and when we were about to check out, we told the lady at the front desk that our check out was at 1pm. She looked at us and said no it’s at 12pm but with a bad attitude. Then I told her that our stay had included the late check out. She then said with the same very bad attitude, “well if you said that at first”. Then my partner said well there’s a problem with organization because we said that at check in and she confirmed it. She then responded with even more attitude… “No the problem is communication” Honestly for being a “Hotel” it had a horrible customer service. Not recommended at all if you want a pleasant vacation.
Condado Ocean Club

I have had terrible service since checking in. I am a very patient and friendly person who has worked in the service industry and understands how important it is to be nice to hard-working people. At breakfast, I watched three tables come in after me, get serviced, and receive their food before I even got a cup of coffee brought to me and had my order taken. I finally had to go to the waiter stand and ask for my bill so I could pay in leave. Our room never got serviced for cleaning for an entire day even though we were out of the room from early morning till 4 o’clock. I just went to the bar and sat and was ignored by a waiter who helped people on either side of me. I finally got up and left after 30 minutes of saying hello, making eye contact and basically got ignored. I am checking out early and heading to another hotel. I had booked a full week here at the Ocean club. They seem to cater to everyone else around. Perhaps they do not want to encourage white middle age guys staying here. They may want to cater to the younger European crowd.

Here’s a brief summary of our family’s stay at Comfort Inn, San Juan for five days in August 2022. The GOOD – Location: It’s a 5-7 minute walk to the beach and the hotel offers complimentary beach towels, sun umbrellas, and lounge chairs for your use. There’s also a Cartier store at the end of the block, so you’re in a decent part of town, and there are quite a few restaurants within walking distance; Rooms: Our room was clean and bright. It looks like it had been renovated in the not-too-distant past. Good water pressure, nice TV, clean linen, small fridge, microwave, and coffee maker; Breakfast: There are some nice options included in the breakfast. Hot items (cheese omelets, bacon, sausage, country potatoes), cereal, make-it-yourself waffles, pastries, fresh fruit (bananas, apples, clementine oranges), yogurt, and a variety of juices; Hotel pool: It’s small but very nice. In addition to the pool, there’s also a hot tub for the adults and a kids’ wading pool. Lots of lounge chairs and towels. Fitness center: It has nice equipment and is in good condition, located by the pool; Housekeeping staff: We interacted with several members of the housekeeping staff and they were all extremely helpful and friendly. High marks in that department! The BAD – Parking: Technically, there is a parking lot at the hotel but it only holds about eight cars, at best. Beyond that, you’ll need to park in a garage down the street for about $20/night. The hotel was in the process of repaving the parking lot while we were there but I don’t think it will result in adding any additional spaces; Flooding: The street on two sides of the hotel flooded to a depth of about 8 inches twice during the five days we were there. Not sure what causes it, but it’s apparently an ongoing issue. If you want to get past the flooding, you have to get creative on how to access the front door. Not impossible, but also not ideal. The DEHUMIDIFIER – The first night we were there, we woke up in the morning to find that the floor in our room was WET. Not damp, but WET. As in, a “Maybe we should go look for a mop” kind of wet. It was at that point that we noticed a dehumidifier under the desk in the room. The digital readout read, “Current humidity: 85%”. I don’t doubt it. Once I turned the dehumidifier on, we left it on for the remainder of our stay. It did help IMMENSELY but we had to empty the bucket in the dehumidifier down the shower drain about twice a day, so it was an ongoing process. We also noticed a dehumidifier in the hallway so humidity is apparently an issue there as well. SUMMARY – Overall, we were happy with our stay. The amenities are nice and the price isn’t bad, considering the prices of other hotels in the same vicinity. Parking isn’t ideal and neither is the flooding. And as long as you don’t mind keeping up with the dehumidifier, the room is pleasant to stay in. There aren’t a lot of bells and whistles, but there’s not a lot that seems lacking either.

Hotel location is good, about 10 minutes drive from the airport and the old town. There are also many restaurants near the hotel, which is very convenient. The sea view room is very beautiful and the overall environment is good. However, the hotel's overall facilities are not very new and slightly lacking. Environmental hygiene is not very satisfactory. After eating something on the balcony of the room, many ants came out and went to the room. However, ants are also normal in tropical regions. Secondly, Ctrip's fee does not include the resort fee, which is about 40USD per day. But when booking on Ctrip, Ctrip did not have to pay other fees.
