Purtroppo in un pernotto di 2 notti ho segnalato un problema di pulizia appena entrato in stanza con tanto di foto mostrate alla reception e ricevuto dovute rimostranze e relative scuse con la promessa che nel prossimo turno di pulizie il ciuffo di peli e capelli sarebbe stato rimosso. Nulla di tutto ciò è accaduto, dormo ancora con il batuffolo accanto al letto, messo lì in bella vista. Questo la dice tutto sulla pulizia effettuata... Altro problema segnalato riguarda la scadentissima qualità del materasso del divano letto che ti costringe a dormire sulle molle, la reception ha cercato di effettuare la sostituzione ma alla fine non c'è stata la necessità perché abbiamo inserito noi tra i materassi e le lenzuola numero 3 piumini per riuscire a riposare. È un peccato, perché perdersi in queste condizioni soprattutto dopo una segnalazione chiara non lascia spazio a dubbi. Ho chiesto un cuscino in più e ne trovo uno con federa del cuscino semistrappata che appena preso si è aperta in due... Colazione dolce standard ma buona. Personale gentile.

Excellent location and good price quality ratio. nice and comfortable staff. Clean and spacious room. Parking in the nearby hotel and, if you don't find any place, also at a cost. Breakfast in the standard. If you are tired, it is comfortable to have dinner in hotels but it is to improve the restaurant offer that seems more focused in meeting the needs of groups or commits than individual customers. However, the structure is very recommended.

This is my second visit here and it only confirms and emphasizes the magic of the place: The hermits really had it good ;) here… Completely renovated while keeping the style and feeling of centuries of good life, having its own food and wine production, staffed by wonderful helpful personnel and having an excellent restaurant on the premises, Don Eusebio, this place will put to shame any of the super expensive and soul-less newer creatings on the island (think Planeta). Pool, bar, laundry service and enchanted premises, they have it all. Not to mention that they are probably the only luxury hotel with private archeological site AND an airplane ***** for private planes! I’m sure we’ll be back.

Used this place as a base for touring the hill towns of South East Sicily. We found it well located to get to Scicli, Modica and of course Ragusa. All within 20 minutes drive. We arrived late on a Sunday and helpful lady on reception gave us great recommendation. Lovely big room, spacious parking area and big plot to roam. Inviting swimming pool with lots of loungers - bit too cold to use in May though. Poppies and wildflowers abound the grounds. Environmentally conscious theme. Local products well in evidence at breakfast. Good choice of food and great fresh blood orange juice! Overall incredible value. Would come back!

What can I say about Modica Boutique Hotel? I LOVED IT! LOCATION: GREAT! Easy to find, surrounded by many shops and restaurants. PARKING: Free Parking in a lock-up garage; private and very safe, with lift connected straight to Hotel. ROOM (Superior): Spacious, Modern, Very clean, Very comfy bed, Cozy linen, State of the art Shower, Relaxation at it's best! BREAKFAST: Spoiled for choice, everything fresh and delicious. Buffet Breakfast 'a la grande'! WATER MACHINE ON EACH FLOOR: Empty bottles provided for free cold or room temperature Natural and Sparkling Water HOTEL RESTAURANT: We had one dinner. Limited choice, however the food was cooked to perfect, presented well and we loved it. Very reasonably priced. STAFF: Polite, courteous, professional, and always with a smile. I highly recommend Modica Boutique Hotel, especially for those travelling with their car by ferry to Pozzallo, as it is only 20min drive. You will not regret it. When we arrived a lady at reception helped us to carry our luggage to our room. We slept very well indeed because the hotel was situated in a quiet street, yet very close to the centre of Ragusa Superiore. It was amazing to walk and cover virtually the entire area to see the charming historic sights including so many churches in both Ragusa Ibla and Ragusa central, and to hear their bells chime regularly, was a beautiful experience. At breakfast, ladies greeted us, and each time we wanted certain edibles, the ladies came to our assistance. De Stefano's Director, was exceptional and made our stay perfect by going the extra mile, offering advice if we needed anything out of the ordinary. What a welcoming professional she is, always homely, smiling and happy. All the staff were terribly friendly and helpful, and so very eager to please and the service was first class. The room was kept in pristine condition and the bed was extremely comfortable. The hotel's position was fine, close to the many steps down and up to Ibla, and then up to the centre of Ragusa to go shopping or sightseeing there too. Restaurants were plentiful and with a little detective work, we found brilliant eateries off the beaten track and oh my, the variety of so so tasty cannoli became mind boggling. The venues that stood out for us for dinner were La Taverna Del Lupo, authentic and one we kept going back to, Trattoria da Luigi, Trattoria La Bettola and if you do not mind walking off a heavenly meal, then you must dine at Trattoria nto' Cumannanti, what a down to earth fun place with bustling atmosphere to enhance your taste buds. For lunch or a bite to eat, you have to go to Benvenuti al Sud, small family run with fantastic home cooked meals, and for an incredible variety of yummy delights we found ourselves returning often to Caffé Sicilia which had everything, and finally look out for fine bakeries such as the Panificio Carpenzano located in Corso Italia, and others presenting scrumptious and wholesome snacks. We had a wonderful stay at the De Stefano Palace Luxury Hotel. It was a fantastic holiday and it was a real pleasure to stay at the De Stefano. We found The De Stefano Luxury Hotel superb, and Ragusa Superiore and Ragusa Ibla were fine examples to see Sicily's splendid architecture. Well done De Stefano, truly recommended.
