Very impressive hotel for a 2 star rating! Very comfortable beds, easily accessible and close to so many good restaurants. Arthur's Pub is located within the same building and has fantastic dinner options! Breakfast is also provided for free. Room has mini fridge and a coffee maker but you need to request to have a microwave in the room.

We booked 2 rooms on Aug. 6-7, 2021. Very happy to have found rooms for our last minute family gathering. We put our stuff in the room and left for dinner, back at 22:00. Everything seemed clean until I looked closer to the toilet and bathtub and they were FILTHY! Not just that they forgot to clean it but dirty for few days for sure. We sprayed with disinfectant and looked at our beds and at least, towels and beds had been cleaned! Not vacuum, fridge dirty, patio door filthy just to name some.... The next morning, we told the front desk lady about our room and even if, because of covid reasons, they were not supposed to come to the rooms, they redid the toilet and the tub and on our return, the bathroom looked spotless like it was supposed to be the first time. For the rest, we just accept it. We had the PERFECT SPOT to meet the family, sat outside, played games, and celebrated 2 birthdays! The breakfast was fine, the STAFF is very WELCOMING and HELPING but the basic , cleanliness had been forgotten!

My husband, daughter and I stayed here for five nights, it was wonderful. When we called to do our booking Margaret was so helpful, we needed the two rooms and with her help we were able to rearrange our plans to fit that schedule. The rooms were comfy, clean and very quiet. Margaret left provisions for us to cook our own breakfast in the morning, which was ideal. Some mornings we were up early, others we were just enjoying our surroundings, having coffee on the deck off the kitchen so we could eat when we wanted not on a schedule. Watching the birds and squirrels. The bacon, fruit, muffins were delicious and one morning home made croissants. An added bonus tiramisu cake for a evening snack. The living room was a very comfortable room, had a fireplace which we used one windy wet day, also a cozy window seat overlooking some gardens. Very central location. Margaret made it clear to us that provisions would be provided, we would do the cooking which we were very happy to do. We were three adults but we had plenty of room, the stay here was a very relaxing holiday. If I lived closer I would book myself in for a week when I needed that time to unwind. I cannot find enough positive adjectives to describe the staff at this location. Lori, Jill, Amarutha, Doug, and another young lady (I didnt catch her name) are wonderful to deal with and made every interaction a positive one. Thank you for everything!

The most striking thing about the hotel is its location, guarding the Ganaraska River. During my stay, I met salmon salmon and witnessed the spectacular sight of the salmon swimming all over the place to the birthplace. The rooms are European in style and the Italian restaurant downstairs is especially stunning.
