We stayed at Audleys Wood for three nights, upon arrival we were greeted with a warm friendly smile by Angela in reception. Angela was very helpful and considerate going that extra mile to ensure you enjoyed your stay. We had the FENTON Suite, it was spectacular a big high comfy bed, separate living room and a modern bathroom. Everything was very comfortable and we loved our stay. A generous supply of coffees teas hot chocolate and biscuits. Breakfast each day was freshly prepared with addition of a fresh buffet of baked good fruits etc. The afternoon tea is exceptional, we had dinner one night in pub the food was delicious I would recommend the fish and chips. We did not dine in the dining room at night as we felt it was topo formal, had a limited menu and was quite expensive. This really is an old-world classic hotel and it is obvious why it is part of the “Hand Picked Hotels Group” I would without hesitation highly recommend Audleys Wood for a Luxury stay.

Pleasant hotel just outside Basingstoke - £10 in a taxi from the station (so not walking distance). Excellent staff - every one of them was professional and attentive (got the mix between attentive and not too attentive). The bar is small and quickly fills if there is a business event on. And not cheap at £16+ for a pint and a glass of wine. I was there for a business trip so had dinner the night before, breakfast and lunch. Dinner and breakfast were all very good but the lunch missed a veggie option. I ended up with chips and something green they said were mushy peas (not proper Norther mushy peas though). That was maybe my host's mistake for not ordering a veggie option in the buffet.

Had an amazing day for a wedding & beautiful setting. Unfortunately room 131 where I stayed I came across the previous occupant of the room left his underwear in the drawer of dressing table which had not been taken away by housekeeping - very off putting! Didn't want to unpack any of my clothes. Very disappointing, hence my rating.

This should be 10 stars. Absolutely fabulous. We stayed in the attwood room . A post Chris**as party! From the moment we arrived until we left we were utterly spoilt. Huge suite. Husband had ordered flowers for my birthday. Arranged so beautifully in the room along with a card handwritten from hotel. Beautiful chocolates on a slate with happy birthday written on it. Fabulous bedding. Super clean throughout. Nothing to complain about. Dressing gowns and slippers ultra soft towels plenty of complimentary toiletries. The bathroom was huge warm throughout. Fabulous breakfast from self service but menu was also available on table. Roaring log fire in area with leather chairs so comfortable. It was my 65th birthday made so special . Thank you so much ❤️

Myself and now retired work colleagues meet and catch up as often as we can in the wonderful hotel lounge. The coffee and service is impeccable and a grey January afternoon was made so much brighter by staff member Poppy serving our coffee with the friendliness and efficiency that seems to be the hallmark of this hotel.

Came here for 2 nights in a group of 8. We had booked 4 rooms and were very lucky to have them upgraded. Our rooms had 2 double beds which was perfect and very spacious. Each room was set up for the kids with their “VIP” kids robe and teddy and activity packs. The beds were comfortable and the rooms were very spacious. Fridge in room with complimentary water along with tea/coffee facilities. Robes and slippers were an added bonus. They also offer complimentary milk & cookies for the children which is delivered to your room in the evening which is so nice, all you have to do is complete the card left in your room indicating your room number and time and hand to reception. The staff here are all so welcoming, friendly and give a high class customer service. The surroundings are beautiful and we enjoyed spending most of the time at the hotel catching up with our family in the lounge. We ate at the lounge and the food was great, I recommend the Eaton mess dessert as it is the best one I’ve ever tasted. The presentation of the food was beautiful. The afternoon tea was lovely. The breakfast was freshly made to order and there is plenty of choice. I would 100% recommend staying here. You will have the best time.

We stayed last week for our company Chris**as party. The hotel is beautiful set in gorgeous grounds. The marquee is stunning, and lovely and warm, even on such a cold night. The staff are great, friendly, smiley and welcoming The food was very good. I would guess the rooms have been planned by a lady, all the lighting is in the right place! I definitely recommend this hotel

Great staff, nice breakfast (vegan), but found the rooms weren’t that clean and are in desperate need of refreshing. Nice areas to take the dog out and just a one off fee of £40 for a dog unlike other hotels charging per day. Plenty of parking and 1 BP Pulse charger.
