Hotels with Spa in Chatswood

The room is in a very good location, right in the lively Chatswood, very close to the subway station, less than 5 minutes' walk. There are many kinds of delicious food nearby to choose from. The room is relatively large, so if you have time to cook, you can choose here. There is no breakfast in the hotel, which is a bit inconvenient for people like me who are staying temporarily for a day, so I have to use instant noodles to solve the problem.

It's become routine for hotels to take a card imprint for incidentals/mini bar and the same is true at the Mantra - but it's n this hotel's case they take a $50 pending transaction. No if's. No buts. Even if your accommodation is booked and paid for. It's for ”incidentals” apparently. The foyer is neat and tidy but when you get to the accommodation floors you're hit with that apartment living smell of too much cooking in small rooms with little ventilation. Rooms are comfortable and you can open the doors / windows if you want the constant hum of trains. Once settled you might feel like a wine or beer or softie ... one of those incidentals for which you've laid down a $50. Thing is the fridge and mini bar is bare! Turns out the incidentals are not incidentals- it's a bond. In case you damage the room. Turns out the Mantra is host to guests who damage their rooms and deposit is non negotiable. Actually if you didn't have a credit card with you you'd be refused your prepaid room. Welcome weary traveller. No dine in menu, no breakfast bar. This is basic level Accor. Don't waste your free night here!
