2 Star Hotels in Charlotte

Was sent here by American Airlines after they cancelled my connecting flight through Charlotte. I was collected in a shuttle that picks you up from the loud, filled with fumes under-construction parking garage. The shuttle driver was pleasant but the wait was not. My room was spacious but not quite clean (the toilet, the bathroom floor; scars on the furniture, looked like someone had tried to kick in the adjoining door). I am disabled and the room they gave me had no door to the bathroom or toilet. The mattress needs replacement; sags badly and has an obvious list to one side. The hotel is right next to the airport and you get to hear all the jets take off and land, really very loud. The only walkable place to eat is the Holiday Inn next door, which was overpriced and not good. On the plus side the staff were very nice and there was free wifi. OK to stay here if they put you here but if you have a choice, I’d pass on it.

The airport hotel I ordered was for a shuttle bus to get on the plane the next day, but it did n’t. Drinks said that they would give me a discount on the taxi, and wait for them to cash in.

We had a wonderful stay. It was just my husband and I getting away for a couple of nights. It was central to Ikea and Concord Mills which is where we were headed. We were also able to walk to dinner. Depending on where you want to go, it's about 10-15 minutes walking, but very enjoyable. Great service, clean rooms. We will stay there again!

In order to catch the early flight, there is a free shuttle bus. But I didn't sit on it because the driver was sleeping and the store was not able to bother. Fortunately, foreigners took a taxi, and the friendly three (three strangers, living together in a hotel), caught up with the flight. It is recommended to order a free bus earlier. The hotel is not bad. After all, the old beauty hotel

Had a great stay. Love the location. Drexel checked me in and was wonderful. Clean rooms and very convenient. We was able to go to concert . Had a great time . I will be back there next visit. Fresh and great staff . Love this hotel. Will be back again

-The staff at the hotel are very attentive. -The rooms are spotless. -The pool was freezing cold -We appreciated the oat milk option at breakfast. I wish there were more vegan options -The tables at the restaurant and the floors are ridiculously sticky. -the front desk are accommodating, polite and pleasant with young toddler (my son is 2) and with elders (my dad is 84). -despite being very busy with 2 weddings , the hotel staff remained calm -the lobby is spacious and comfortable. We enjoyed spending time with generations of family members on the couches -the pool area is relaxing and zen -the beds are incredibly comfortable -the wait staff at the restaurants are competent, responsive, and professional I highly recommend this hotel especially for wedding parties and events. I’m pleasantly surprised. I wasn’t expecting much since I’ve stayed in Fairfield hotels before. The Charlotte Fairfield uptown feels more like a level 5 property! The property feels more like a resort—the Fairfield Charlotte Uptown is an oasis in the middle of a small city.

satisfaction. Every half an hour shuttle bus. There is also a Hampton nearby that was wrong at the beginning.

I enjoy my stay and I will come back

The room we had was excellent but it was given to us as an apology for the problems we had when originally checking in. Check in is at 3:00 pm, but they were not ready for people at that time. After giving them all my information, I was told to go away and come back in about an hour. We waited in the lobby and in about 15 minutes they were handing out keys to others coming in. I went back to the counter and was told that I had to give them all my information again. I explained what happened previously and that I was told to come back much later and they apologized for the inconvenience since as a Platinum member, they should have had our room ready and in fact, when she checked, it had been ready. So we got a better upgrade than usual and we were thankful for that. But the real problem here is with PARKING. What you may not know and they don’t tell you at check-in, is that their parking lot is managed by an outside company and you are required to go online or use an App to pay for parking, in the Holiday Inn Express lot. It’s $25 plus a $4 administration fee and when you don’t sign up, they leave you a parking ticket to pay. Since it is a Holiday Inn Express, I was not looking for a sign that said parking was a separate bill. If you arrive late at night, you wouldn’t notice the signs. It’s customary for the hotel itself to charge you for parking and not have their own parking lot run by an outside organization. I got a ticket so paid it when I got home.
