Astro Suite Hotel

Nice rooms overlooking the beach. Sofa bed in sitting room for our son. Fresh, simple breakfasts. But the beds aren’t very comfortable. Our bed had a rubberised bottom sheet which squeaked every time we moved and it was very hot even though it’s not very warm in Sicily yet. We didn’t sleep well.

Astro Suites is well situated directly on the beach, is very clean and well maintained. Appreciated the kitchenette which is well stocked for quick meals, grocery stores close by as well as many restaurants. Breakfast offers a lot of variety, great coffee. Only issue is inconsistent Wifi in the rooms, strong signal in lobby though. Good service from Giovanni at the front desk reception which has staff 24 hours. Easy walking distance to train station.

We love Cefalu and this time we chose to stay in the Astro Suite Hotel May/June 2023. We found it to be ideally situated opposite the beach and within easy walking distance of the old town and railway station. The rooms were well kept and cleaned daily. Each had a basic kitchenette which was great for us to make lunches or the odd evening meal. Our apartment had a great view over the pool and beach (there was a discount at the beach lido for hotel guests). I require a gluten free diet and the hotel had a whole selection of gluten free items for my breakfast, Nadia & Caroline really looked after me along with providing me with numerous Italian coffees. Luca & Giovanni on the front desk were also really helpful and offered us regular help & advice. The pool is quite small but has sun loungers and has a fairly large shallow childrens section. When we return to Cefalu we will definitely stay here again. Thank you again to all the staff at Astro Suite Hotel.

We had a wonderful stay at Astro Suite Hotel. The location is perfect, just 50 metres from the beach and an easy 7min walk into Cefalu Old Town and far enough away not to be troubled by late night noise. There are lots of restaurants in the Old Town, but also several good ones just a very short walk from the Hotel. There is also a good supermarket close by that does amazing take away food. The apartments are beautifully clean and very comfortable and all have a balcony with a sea view. There is a lift if needed. The breakfast choice was excellent and could be taken inside or on the outside terrace (which was definitely our choice). There is a lovely outdoor pool area with sun beds all kept spotlessly clean. The staff were all amazing, with special mention to Giovanni (who I booked with by telephone) and Luca both of whom have excellent English, and Nadia the star of the breakfast room, really lovely people. Cefalu itself is a lovely resort set in a bay with a long promenade where you can walk for about a mile from the bustling Old Town with its medieval Cathedral enjoying the wonderful sea views. There is also the railway station with trains linking to the rest of Sicily. Recommend these apartments and hopefully we will return.

Fantastic location. Very friendly staff. Sparkling clean. Truly one of the cleanest hotels I’ve ever stayed. Beautiful view of the cathedral & rock from my suite as well as the pool. Access to the beach is conveniently located across the street. The breakfast that was offered was a generous variety. I would definitely book again

An amazing stay at Astro Suites Hotel. Giovanni & all the staff look after you impeccably. Very spacious modern rooms with a nice little kitchenette including a large fridge with freezer compartment. Room 111 had a main balcony that could view the beach, sea, Cathedral & Rock & another Juliet Balcony that faced West. Really good continental breakfast with very fresh items daily & Cefalu is great base to sightsee both locally & explore further afield with easy train/bus connections to Palermo & beyond Would thoroughly recommend this establishment

Hotel pretty basic, but did what we needed it to. I’m pretty sure we paid for a sea view, but you had to lean a long way to see it! Breakfast ok-nothing ‘hot’ but plenty of choice. Room quite loud but they were in the middle of a national festival with a stage almost in front of our room. It was VERY busy when we were there. The Jet2 rep was lovely, very helpful. Rooms were clean, bed comfy, air con good. Gym pretty basic, but ok. Didn’t find the locals particularly friendly, but it was very busy. Did a wine tour which was good. It was expensive for what it was. Better value elsewhere, but I guess that’s Italy/Europe?

I recently spent 2 weeks in Sicily with my husband celebrating our 38th anniversary. I spend a lot of time researching and reading reviews and I wanted this trip to be very special so given the Astro Hotel's excellent reviews I chose it . I booked my reservation in May for an October trip so it was several months prior to the trip. I booked through a third party like the choices you see below the hotel on this site and I was penalized for it. If you want to stay at the Astro Hotel book directly through the hotel. I contacted this hotel several months prior and have an e-mail trail letting them know our date of arrival and how important it was to have a sea view balcony for this special trip. What a disappointment that I ended up with the worst room in the hotel (#203), no view, next to elevator and stairs. I am attaching pictures of our view so others will have the option to request another room when booking directly through the Astro. I am not assuming I was penalized, but was told directly that I was given this room because I booked through a 3rd party. I pre-paid for 3 nights at this hotel and we left after 1 night. I did ask to be moved when we arrived and was told there was nothing that could be done. Out of curiosity I went on line to see if the hotel was booked and there were other rooms available, This review is simply to inform others what I wish I had known prior to booking - "book direct" through the Astro Hotel if you do not want to be penalized with the worst room in the place.

We stayed at the Astro suites hotel for 3 nights at the end of September. I made a reservation with the help of Luca. He is very kind and answered all of my questions.( I ask a lot of questions). We stayed in a one bedroom suite. The first room had a living area ( sofa bed and dining table and chairs) with a kitchen area with a refrigerator, microwave, dishes, utensils, and pots. You could make your own meals if you wanted to. The suite was very clean and had beautiful views from the windows and sliding glass door onto a terrace. The terrace overlooked the beach and had a table with chairs so yu could sit outside and enjoy the view. The bedroom had a very comfortable double bed. We mainly used the beach. The hotel does have a lovely pool but it is very shallow in some areas. It also has a hot tub. The breakfast is a huge buffet. There are so many choices that you won't know where to begin. There is seating inside or outside. Parking is on premises The beach is directly across the street.. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. It is a 5 minute walk into the old town area.
