I really wanted to enjoy this hotel/bed & breakfast but I cannot recommend to anyone. I've waited a week before writing this review - I booked through ******* who funnily enough won't let me write a review...is it because there are known problems I only stayed 1 night out of 3 without any goodwill refund! There was no welcome checkin ust call a number and send over your passport info in exchange for a pass code to gain entry - very impersonal - also told to leave tourist taxes money on the side in my room (not likely as no receipt!) The place is clean but it's also very dark the room has ensuite but the step is double the normal (building regulations) height which is dangerous for anyone well or afflicted in anyway there was Breakfast food in the room but only coffee and water to drink no tea! There is a TV which dominates the room but worst of all the bed faces the door so your feet point outwards to the door VERY BAD sleeping position and finally the door handle came away in my hand on arrival prior to even entering the room! BUT this was fixed before bedtime. I cannot recommend this place to anyone - I expect the owner who had other matters to tend with instead of welcoming guestswas happy to meet me on my departure but reluctant to refund the remaining two days stay which is understandable as it was booked through ******* whom I do not trust anymore as they don't vet their properties so whats the point! There needs to be someone to welcome guests -there needs to be light in the place to make it welcoming and the bed position needs to be reviewed and most importantly the step to the ensuite is danpgerously high. I wish I didn't have to say all this but its true. I see that previous reviewers of this place have endured the owner wrath in response - but I'd like to say take the reviews as an opportunity to learn and improve the property not as a personal attack.

Surprisingly great location, yes it has character and the room we has had 1 queen and 2 single. Very clean, crisp linen and towels. High ceilings Very spacious, a balcony with the view of the PLAZA. I love the buzz of the people and cars below as I felt very European. Walking distance to the shops and restaurants, definitely need a car to Mt Etna but you can see it from 10mt from the hotel. The host with a beautiful name Archangle was extremely welcoming and friendly. Although this building looks old but so is Catania so there is no lifts but the walk up was ok.

This is a lovely Hotel in a central location. A very big plus point for this hotel is that it does have a lift, a small lift, but I have stayed in old building like this and having a lift is a bonus. Another bonus was the FREE safe in the room, again I have stayed in similar hotels that charge for this. We booked a superior room to make sure we had an EnSite bathroom, the room was large (very large) with a nice balcony overlooking Via Etnea, despite this the room was very quiet at a nighttime even though the street remained very busy. No breakfast here, but a very nice cafe on the street next door and numerous other places for breakfast close by. Would I stay here again, defiantly but I would go for the Superior room again.

Our stay at Quattro Canti Suites in Catania was absolutely wonderful, and it was all thanks to Luca's exceptional hospitality! The hotel itself is a true gem, boasting a clean, modern, and beautiful design that created a welcoming and comfortable atmosphere throughout our stay. From the very beginning, Luca's communication was superb. He ensured that everything was perfectly arranged for our arrival, making the check-in process smooth and hassle-free. Luca went the extra mile by accommodating our dietary restriction, providing us with a breakfast that perfectly suited our needs. Luca's attentiveness didn't stop there. He even helped us secure reservations at a restaurant we were eager to try, and the dining experience turned out to be fantastic. Throughout our stay, Luca was always available and happy to answer any of our questions, making us feel like valued guests. His genuine care and attention to detail truly made our stay memorable and enjoyable. I cannot praise Luca and Quattro Canti Suites enough for their outstanding service. If you're looking for a fantastic place to stay in Catania with a host who truly cares about your experience, I highly recommend this hotel. Five stars without a doubt! Grazie mille, Luca, for making our trip so special and unforgettable!

The location is convenient in the city center. The hotel is very dilapidated and there are mosquitoes in the room. Breakfast is just like it. The front desk service is very good, kind and patient. The overall feeling of downtown Katalia is rather messy. Taxi passengers are serious.

Because the hotel I wanted to book was not booked, I chose this one blindly on the day. The room can watch the sunrise, and it is romantic. The breakfast was good and full! The only drawback is that some parts of the facilities in the room are loose, so troublesome hotel repairs are perfect!
